Waaaaay back in the 80's I worked for Gulf Airlines and lived in Saudia Arabia.....oh the fun.....not!! :) loved the job didn't enjoy living over there!

I knew I liked you Lorraine! I think we should do it! Lets see how many other ladies respond. But for sure when I get back to work I we have LOTS of California layovers. I work for Southwest and we dont go to Huntington Beach, but we Im sure come close. What cities are close? We will definately have coffee.

Ladies what do you all think of a reunion some place??

Pinkstock is in Ischua, NY and hour or so south of Buffalo.  I have never been (as this is my first year on the site) but it really sounds fun.  For more details, do a search on Pinkstock.  The gal hosting it has the information and date - I think first week in August.

I'm so in on the recon reunion. Love our ta ta sisterhood group. You know we will all be able to put those Vegas showgirls to shame. I'm game to go anywhere. I think anywhere we go will be fun. Imagine us all in the ladies room of the restaurant with our shirts around our necks comparing our artwork and giggling our heads...or whatever off!!!!!

I didn't have my first fill until 5 weeks post op, because I ended up having a second surgery (lymph dissection) which delayed the process.  I am SO glad I waited!  I didn't stop feeling the pain of that expander inside me for a very long time, and I can't imagine adding to that pressure as bad as I felt the first 5 weeks.  Even after that it was a month or so before I wasnt' constantly aware of the 'inside underwire bra' that kept grating against my chest wall.  I am fully expanded since November and still feel these things inside me.  Some of us have a lot more sensitivity -- I never lost any sensation in my breast skin, so the whole process was uncomfortable.

Wait...be patient... when you think you're going to want them ripped out, get on this board and read about other people's experiences.  It is encouraging and helps you focus on the end result not the "sucky" moments you have to endure!  (did I just say "sucky?"  I am a pastor's wife.  Oops.)  LOL!

P.S.  I had 100 cc my first fill (wow...I felt my rib cage being pushed backwards) and then 75 the second time, and 60 the third time.  All my remaining fills were 55 cc, which took longer but was worth it in terms of comfort.   I had to stop at 600 cc b/c my skin was thinning...planning on a 460 cc silicone implant.  I am equally thrilled that I stuck it out and went as big as I could safely go.  My PS told me a fun saying he heard once, "Go big or go home!"  So I'm going as big as I can -- I plan to look GOOD after all this!!!

Thanks, sisters - I am a talker so I'll post again about TE pain.  I was lucky enough to get a 5 week healing period before my first fill and am SO glad for the wait.  I had an unscheduled lymph dissection that delayed my fills.  I couldn't imagine having anymore pressure on my surgery wounds before the 5 week mark - I never really lost sensation so the inside of me was in a lot of pain, too.  For those who think they are crazy - not so!  Everybody's different.

I didn't think I would do well on the fills, but with a long healing time, things went well.  My first fill was 100 cc (I felt my ribcage being pushed back!).   I tolerated 75 cc the second time, 60 cc the 3rd, and after that only 55.  Now I'm up to 600 cc - never thought I'd make it, but I did.

So don't ever give up!  Sometimes the process is really sucky but you have to hang in there.  (Did I just say "sucky?"  I'm a pastor's wife.  Oops.  LOL!)  When you feel like getting these things ripped out because you can't take it anymore, get on the boards and read the encouragement of all the brave women who have already gone through this.  It helped me get this far (you can see my expanded foobs on the photo site under "Expanded, awaiting exchange").  They aren't too pretty now, but they will be soon!

P.S.  - stretching helps, as does regular exercise.  I also use stretch mark cream everyday.  My scars are nearly invisible and I am not quite 7 mos post op.

P.S.  Mykidsmom - you were wondering if a "B" is the right size for you and whether you should go bigger -- I have something funny to show you.  Google "Mannequin Mania Panama" and click on the link to this article:

Panama Guide - Huge Hooter Mannequin Mania - They're Everywhere (clicking the link in my posting may take you to the latest page on the Panama Guide and won't show you the article, hence he need to Google it).

Here's the story:  my husband and I went to Panama City on a missions trip this past fall and were shocked to see  gargantuan breasts on all the mannequins lining the mall windows.  I told my PS about it and we laughed about how it must be drumming up augmentation business in Panama.  He remarked that their motto must be, "Go big or go home."

Just a thought while you decide on size.  : )   I appreciated my PS's sense of humor about this topic, since it is a highly personal decision.  You'll know what size you feel most comfortable with.  My PS kept saying that to me, and when I got to 400 I thought I would explode.  When I got to 460 I changed my mind and decided I like that size.  So he has overexpanded me to 600 to prepare for the exchange to a 460 implant.  I didn't explode after all.  : )

Psalmist -- Good governor!  Talk about back pain!  Those are not breasts - they're udders.  What are women thinking?

I did know a young woman who was naturally very large.  All her clothes were separates as she took one size on top and an entirely different and smaller size on the bottom.  Even she would look like a boy standing next to these ladies.  Whoa!

I guess these breasts would be a good back up if your car's airbags didn't deploy!...Yikes

Lorraine - You must be going nuts having an IV port placed for so many days while you go about work and other business. I, personally, cannot stand them. I assume the infection is going away more each day, right?!?

mykidsmom, yes its been VERY annoying, however was very willing to put up with it to save the TE TA TA! Seems like all is going well, no more red, I get some shooting pains, but I get them in the left one too, so I think maybe its the nerve endings coming back??... who knows, there is something new every day with this whole thing!! I get to pull the thing out tomorrow night after the last infusion! yipee!! having said that, I am not sure how brave I will be when I actually have to do it! I asked the nurse, so you are coming back to take it out? she said oh no, just pull it out yourself! aaaaaahhhhhh!! I have already lost two bags on antibiotics to my carpet, so I think I am not the best person to be doing this LOL!!! oh well!! I shall keep you all posted!

If you want, you can call me tomorrow night and I'll talk you through taking the IV out. There isn't a needle in there...It's just a soft plastic catheter. I'll definitely help you if you need me to...just remember I'm 3 hours ahead of you.....But I don't usually get to sleep until 11:30pm my time.

ooohhhhh!!!!!! Kathie!! didn't know that duh!!! I TOLD you I shouldn't be permitted to do this! LOL!! right o! I think I should be good, nurse said to just put some gauze pads over it and pull, then keep the pressure on for a minute or so.  You are soooo sweet to think of me, I really appreciate it! I have had a heck of day with this thing, trying to keep it out of view of my clients, its quite warm today and I have this big ole long sleeve sweater on! Plus I have been knocking it a bit as its right on the "corner" of my wrist, can't tell you how many people have grabbed my arm today! ONE MORE DAY!!!!
