Positive thinking!
Right! On the 23rd of Jan it was confirmed by my consultant that I had been diagnosed with a Grade 3 invasive ductal carcinoma and Ithought this is awful! Then after a few days of hitting the bottom of the barrel I thought I'm a registered nurse I should know how to cope - it was stil Bl***** awful ! Then I remembered what my Mum taught me - - When life hands you a lemon make lemonade and I started thinking positive I dont know where life is going but I've got a lot to be thankful for.................
In the last month I've been 'touched' by more people than ever before
I've decided if I am going to be 'ill' I'm gonna do it in style = new hairdo + new clothes
Can anyone here think of anymore -- I'm sure you can ladies - you have never ceased to amaze me so far! I keep reading your posts and thats what keeps me thinking positive!

I am thankful that through my illness, I have found which friends are true and which ones are transient.

Yes - The true friends respect your wishes and stand by you - the other melt away - just thought of another positive -
This 'journey' through BC is going to find me friends I would have never met otherwise! - - Thank you Michelle X

I decided that even though this isn't what I wanted or what I expected, since I'm here anyway, I might as well have a good time. And I do have a good time almost every day! Laughter is very much a part of my daily life, too!

Well said Miss S. I refuse to spend whatever time I have being miserable. I am enjoying being back to work. People think I am nuts and should take time to do other things. But I just want my 'normal' life back.

I am thankful for the people that care, When I was in surgery I family member
was there. I love each day God gives me.

Positive things in your life help you to win.
I am happy to see people that know you need to
normal just as much as you can.

I let people know about my situation and was a little disappointed in some people's lack of response. But I was amazed and thrilled with a number of other people's responses. Including my estranged brother who sent me a huge bouquet of flowers while I was recovering. My brother and I are getting over our issues without stress or strain.
INVITE people in and they will touch your life!
