Good evening everyone,

well my Dr said today it is not IBC BUT she does not know what it is. She blanky said you have had all the testing but we are no closer to figure this out. The intense burning and redness are still very prominent, she more or less said we are at a loss for words. They had no other suggestion  but a dermo dr. I am so dumbfounded. These breast have seen more hands and eyes in the last few months but we are no closer to a answer.Cry

Rosie how are you doing?  Have not seen your posts in a couple of days.  Did you get to the Dermatologist and how are your balance issues going?

Hoping you are doing o.k. and as well as can be in this situation.

GM, No I haven't been to the Derm yet and my balance issues are pretty nasty. The constant buzzing is getting terrible. I went to a ear Dr a few months ago and he saw no reason for this buzzing, no inflammation whatsoever, but my son brought up the idea of my condtion with Chiari Malformation might be getting worse and that could be the cause of the unbalance, I never gave the Chiairi a thought as the DR at Duke said it wasn't bad enough for surgery so I just didn't with those issues all the time and never thought about it.The DR I saw at Duke University is the same one that operated on Ted Kennedy. My health coach is concerned but have to wait & see.

Rosie, I'm sorry that you too are having to go through this awful mess. When all you want is answers that will give you hope.. where you can see that there IS in deed an end to the awful symptoms.

I've been bounced around like a bouncy ball and still no answers either. The most common problem I find with doctors is.... "Well "it" normally doesn't show up like" or "The classic symptoms" and so forth...... I to went to the Derm. and he said he wasn't sure what in the world it was but put me on MORE cream for the "dry" skin. He and his cream were NO help.

I'm now seeing another Breast Surgeon and pray he'll be the one to bring me hope and relief. Don't stop looking for help and pushing for your health. As I've been told "You know your body better than anyone"

    Praying you get answers soon....

I wish for all of us who have no diagnosis to find the dR that will give us the report we need to get on with our lives no matter what it may be.

Interestingly enough the run around I have recieved from my doctor may be useful to you. (or not) A yeast infection can present with burning and white coloring in the center of the nipple.  The treatment is a 10-20 day cycle of 100mg diflucan.  This may not help you at all but if you do take the diflucan and your symptoms disappear that would be a great thing for you.

Hmmm, that is strange I have no other areas that give me trouble. How would a yeast infection affect the breast?

I'm with you on the yeast infection. I also had severe pain, burning and rash on my left breast fairly recently. Was treated with a topical for the rash which my surgeon said was yeast. It cleared first and the pain and burning were gone within two weeks of the rash clearing out. That was in November and the symptoms have not returned. Good luck.

Rosie, did you have any external symptoms at the beginning?

I'm wondering why you have not had a biopsy yet.  It could help.

    Sending hugs!!!

Praying that you get answers Rosied51. I for one know how hard it is getting someone to listen and hear you. A biopsy is NOT as easy to get as you'd have thought.

Do NOT stop pushing for answers.

Praying for you as well as everyone else.
