I once found a small (fits in your palm) red glass heart. I think it was $4.99 at Christmas Tree Shop. Wrapped it up with a note about giving him my heart. Pretty simple I guess, but it was meaningful (to me at least! :-)

CMB- We must think alike...I found a silver heart that they will engrave, one of those ones that you carry in your pocket type things....

I also found a desk clock that I could have engraved for him

But am wanting to get more ideas.

    Thanks

    Jule

I think a heartfelt note, a love letter if you will, is also really nice. And after a while, as nice as it is to say and hear, "I love you" just doesn't necessarily convey the depth of your feelings for someone. I have always believed that words are powerful, and words on a page are even more so.

I know what you mean though, looking for something out of the box and fun... good luck!

Yep, it HAS to be something unusual....out of the norm is always what I seem to like the best.

I found a desk compass in a nice wood that I wanted and was going to have engraved with "so you will always know the direction to me" but they were sold out.

Was thinking a desk clock engraved with something like "so you will always know when its time to come home to me".....corny huh....

I agree what you are saying about the words so want to make sure they are right.

So are you definitely thinking a tangible gift, or a fun evening? Here's what I did once.  You know what the sweet heart candies look like, with all the cute sayings?

Well, I got a ton of pastel paper, and cut out hearts and wrote stuff on each one. Then I arranged them from the front door, through the house, leading to stations. One heart lead to the kitchen, where there was a bottle of champagne and two glasses, one heart lead to the living room where there was a picnic blanket on the floor with fruit dipped in chocolate. another heart lead to the bedroom, and when the door was opened, there were hearts all over the walls, that I wrote various things on... semi time consuming, but it was really nice.

Hey Jule... in case you have access to his house... how's about hiding love notes in all places imaginable... you could mix them w/ coupons worth something... Wink and redeemable at whatever time YOU want... Innocent!
