LIFE'S A BEACH!

Hey Sharon....I will check in after treatment. For some reason I'm feeling like my "lifeline" is being cut
Kinda scary, but I just gotta be a big girl
Thanks for the thoughts today!! It means alot!
Dream-----thinking about YOU today too! Hope your port surgery goes well. Sending hugs and prayers your way. Let us know how you're doing later.
Faith....I know you're missing the babeeeeezzzz! When do you see them again? I love the little teeth showing
So cute!!!
It's so good to have friends and support!

We need a rainbow on the beach today.....
-
Coonie, we're all with you!!
Dream sending you some encouragement as well.
I'm thru airport security & they have the internet: whooohooooo. They're saying my flight to Dallas is supposed to be on time. Amazing considering what the roads look like!
Must get down to my gate here, pretty soon.
Just love the rainbow.
I bought myself a t-shirt, with some "flying monkeys" that say they will make flights over-the-rainbow!! It is Kansas after all.
My favorite part of this morning was when the airport security fellow (very offical of course) told me to: follow the yellow-brick wall (to my gate.) It's so nice when people step outside of their roles and act like human-beings.
Much love. Till later.

This is the view out the Wichita Airport window this morning:
Am I a lucky girl, or what?

Here's another view further down the jetway:

It's just dawned on me that our beloved beach thread is approaching it's first anniversary.
We need to start planning now for a big-beach's-birthday-bash.
Start your engines running. It's February 5th.
We need a diversion -- some gorgous scenery.
Escape!!
-
Well, one year ago I went to the beach and took these photos, I am going back again this afternoon before a get together of my college alumni club...
I love the Pacific Ocean at sunset...
-
think of it as a new beginning coonie. We are there with you in spirit.
Faith, the babies are so cute, I know you miss them. Can't wait for your next project and to see you quilt hangings on the wall
I took some pictures of my house and surrounding area and posted on the mountain if anyone wants to take a look.
Am fixing to go fix a pot of stew after I am done posting. Jaz got me craving it. Everyone have a great day.
-
we were posting at the same time, wonderful beach pictures, Faith and Lisa!
-
Hugs Coonie and Dream.
Coonie, I think what you are feeling is SO normal. You are allowed to feel scared.
Dream, let us know how you are doing.
Hugs to all.
Coonie, if that last pic is a family photo then I KNOW we are related. Hehehheehe.
I think this snow storm is far reaching............
Where is Checkum today?
.........I hope..........
-
Ya, once again I wasn't on the last page..........
-
Spar, I just put on a pot of stew!!!!!!!!!!!
What do you put in yours?
-
Okay, so LIFE'S A BEACH but I'm going outside with my dog, in a blizzard. We both need the exercise. Tally ho.
-
Coonie, so glad this is the end of your treatment. I don't feel well today, so this is short.
BEACH HUG
-
-
Oh Mary-Lou, sorry you aren't feeling so good. Gentle hugs.
-
WHOOOOHOOOOOOO!!!
I'm in Dallas and the sun is still shining. Maybe I can get my tomorrow organized before dinner -- instead of slogging thru it at midnight.
Lisa that first picture is just breath-taking. What was your degree in college? I'm curious.
-
When I pound on this drum I want everyone to come down for a late afternoon snorkle.
Mary Lou. Hope that you're feeling better soon.
Dream & Coonie: be sure to stop in and give us an update, when you are able. You too Checkum.
-
Glad you landed safely Faith.
-
This is a baaaaaaaaaad storm.
I wanna bee on the beach.
-
Hey beach friends!!! Your support means so much! All the pics are just beautiful!!!!! Ya'll were busy while I was gone.
yiiippppeeeee.......I finished Herceptin today AND saw the doctor. Didn't know I was supposed to see him, but glad I got that done too. Everything is good.....blood work, etc. so I don't go back for 3 months. It's a little un-nerving to get "cut loose" but it sure will feel good to not be going every 3 weeks.
Mary-Lou so sorry you're not feeling good today.....sending you hugs and prayers!
Has Dream checked in? Hope you're doing ok too Dream.
Spar--------I saw your pics on the mountain thread and your home is sooooooo pretty. It looks like a magazine pic with all the snow. Is your pond frozen through and through? Will you have fish?
Sharon----you know we're "sistahs"
Hope you and doggus have stayed warm today. When will you get relief from the weather?
Lisa--I always love your pics of the Pacific coast. Wish I lived there too
Foots, Checkum and AlwaysHope--hope you are having a good day.
I sure am hungry for stew now.......somebody send me some!!
Faith-------so glad you made it to Dallas. Your pics are so pretty. I said a prayer for safe travels for you today. I love the "follow the yellow brick wall" comment.
I'm waiting for the drums to sound!
Sorry if I missed anybody. Thanks again for all your encouragement and support!!
-
HEY HEY HEY................COONIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
This one's for you Coonie........
-
I'm the one with the diaper.........
-
Sharon, in the stew I put meat, potatoes, onion, carrots, celery, corn, tomatoe sauce, can of diced tomatoes with green chiles, chili powder, cumin, salt, pepper, mrs. dash. Thats all this time. It is so good with cornbread crumbled in it.
Faith, come home safely
I hope the pond is not frozen all the way through, yes it is stocked with fish but every year we still have some in the summer so I guess they survive the cold somehow. It is amazing.
I love my home too, it looks small but is actually quite large 1872 sq feet, 4 bedrooms. I will like it alot better when we can afford to get a porch built the length of the house.
Mary Lou, what kind of not feel well are you? Do you have the flu or stomach virus. Hopeing you get better fast. Missing you.
I got the snorkeling fever
-
I don't know how to make corn bread.
-
Just order it from room service, silly!
