We are supposed to get snow and cold temps tomorrow but I have surgery in the AM so..... I am getting a new port, my first one was removed 2 yrs ago due to infection, which I hear is rare.
-
Coonie, I don't live in the Ozarks but I live close enough to enjoy them for photo trips, usually a days outing. They are beautiful for sure. The stew was good. I wish I could share it with you. I don't cook alot but I love my slow cooker. Its hard to mess up with a crockpot.
Spar, time to come out and play. If you read to much in one day, your eyes will cross and get stuck that way. Not really but it sounded skeery, didn't it? LOL!
-
Your nuts Jaz, maybe thats why I love you so much. Since I couldn't reach your stew I had campbells chicken noodle soup. Not even a close 2nd. It is so cold here. Pure white ice. OKC had over 400 wrecks the past couple of days. On the news cars were just sliding where ever they wanted to go, it was scary to watch. I may try to take some pictures tomorrow.
I want to go visit this place, would be a nice hiking place.
-
Ah, 'rednecks on ice'! One of my favorite shows. LOL! That's why I stay home when this weather hits.
-
This is lake michigan, we went there traveling to niagra falls once and it is so huge it looks like an ocean. I wonder if it has ocean critters in it like shark or jelly fish? Does anyone know.
All that reading has made my eyes tired, think I will get ready for bed. Hope you guys have a good night. See ya tomorrow.
-
Pretty pic Spar. I'm sorry, but I don't know the answer
Kinda figured ocean critters like salt water. That's a good project to research today
Hey Dream----thinking of you today for your port surgery. Hope it goes better than you're expecting. Sending hugs and prayers your way!
Hope all you ladies have a wonderful day!
I love the Smokey Mountains too...........here's a pic
-
Here's a rainbow for everyone today
-
Oh, that rainbow is beautiful, love it. I am going to share some pictures around my house today and my new house which will have a porch soon as we save the money for it.
my house
out my bedroom window
our frozen pond
It is not snow, it is solid ice. Everyone keep warm today. Too cold for hiking.

You got it Mary-Lou today is the day to do that. My DH doesn't think so though, he has been bringing me boxes of stuff out of storage to go through when I just want to play on the computer or read my book. I did go through and wash a lot of dishes and pans today and he is hanging pictures so it has been a productive day. Hugs all around. Have a good evening.

Our house
Is a very very fine house
With two cats in the yard............
Beautiful Spar.
-
Spar, love the house!!!! I love the natural look and the way it blends into the environment. Coonie, congrats on your last herceptin treatment. Now go out and start the rest of your life. Sharon, you should go on youtube and find a video for that song. An old Beatles song for sure.
-
thank you so much for the compliments on the house, has been a dream of mine for along time and still have to pinch myself sometimes.
-
Mary-Lou sure hope you are feeling better today. miss you much
It is still icy and cold but think I will bundle up and take a short hike to see what I can see.
Found these little guys and gave them some rabbit food.
How cool is this?
I think this might be a bob cat, decided to stay away from him just in case
It was a fun hike but now i am freezing. so have a good day on the mountain.

Beautiful pictures. I like the one with the moon. Yahoo, workday is over and tomorrow is Friday. its been a long long week, eh?
-
Coonie - thank you for your thoughts - port is in. They put me out... but I woke up twice (and jerked). They didnt like the jerking. I was glad when it was over. Tomorrow I can take a shower so do not sit downwind of me.

Good morning moutain ladies! The view from the top is gorgeous. We finally have a day of sun and warmth. Well, its warm compared to last week in anartica. I just can't even begin to imagine being further north and having to deal with this bone chilling cold, ice and snow for months on end.
Spar, come out of that igloo and let's start that morning mountain hike.
-
Uh oh...Smoky the Bear just showed up. Spar, I told you that campfire was way to big last night. Now who's in trouble?! Anyone got bail money?
-
Ah, Smokey just gave us a lecture and we will be more careful now. I am ready for the afternoon hike.
here goes a group of us, hoping to find some berries and flowers, cool things to take pictures of.
-
some of us wanted pictures and some of us wanted berries
