    Dreamwriter, I really don't know what you are talking about, I just said above that everyone is welcome here.  this is a place of peace and joy, a place to forget your troubles and hike the mountains, swim the lakes, and take pictures of wildlikfe.  There was a little hoo haa in the beginning but it was quickly squashed and things are very good here.  Jaz, it thrills me that you are back and strong and making the mountain full of positive vibes.  Everyone can post here, we just want open friendly people who want peace and no bickering here.

    thanks about Quacker, Celia was nice enough to fix me up a wonderful picture of her.  She has some talent with making poster pictures out of just a snap shot.

    Take a hike, enjoy the sunshine since the weatherman said rain/sleet/ice will be here tomorrow. Find that perfect flower or the prettiest butterfly, run through the grass and jump the small streams.  Have fun.

    Well, pooh.  I went to photobucket to find a cool picture to post but I keep getting redirected to some site that wants to scan my computer for viruses.  No thanks, I already have software.  Is anyone else getting this when going to photobucket?  Very annoying since I have to shut down my computer to get it to stop scanning.

    Photobucket has changed, maybe they just haven't got the kinks worked out yet, I don't like it as well as before.  Hey, well pooh is my saying, I say that all the time.  Gotta go catch a movie with the little granddaughter.  Back later.

    It is sleeting all morning, ice on everything but the joy of watching the squirrls and the redbirds out playing in it almost makes it worthwhile.  We have a roaring fire going in the fireplace and am enjoying a stay in day.  So no hiking for me today but will be thinking of you all.  happy day on the mountain.

    You know, its sleeting here too.  I can't use my fireplace since I didn't get around to getting it cleaned and inspected this year by the chimney sweep.  Just so much going on that I overlooked it.  Those fires look so inviting.   I love my fireplace but it sure is a major pain to maintain and to clean up all the ash.

    Good mid morning mountain ladies.  I just put on a beef stew in the slow cooker and the aroma is making me so hungry.  It should be finished in another 4 hours and then I will make us some homemade southern cornbread to crumble in.  A very fine meal for a cold, wet day.

    Not much new happening here.  Just glad to be inside on such a bleak, gray, and wet day.

     Spar sorry to hear about your duck.  I have had 2 cats pass since I was diagnosed (one from bc, one from liver disease).  I know that an animal carves a place in your heart.

    I have no pictures to share today..... but enjoyed the ones here.

    Oh, the colors in those pictures are so beautiful and brings joy when looking outside is so bleak. Cornbread and stew sounds so good.  I want a huge bowl.  Am so glad you get to stay in today.  I feel so blessed getting to stay in too.  Everyone stay warm.  I am going to cuddle up and read a book today. hugs all around.

    AlwaysHope----How did you know that I LOVE the Ozark Mountains??!! Do you live near them? They're so beautiful! I sure would love a bowl of that homemade stew!!! May just have to fix that one day this week :)

    Hey Dream - lol - I guess when you've seen one coon you've seen them all....hehe I don't know how the mama coon tells her babies apartUndecided 

    Hope you got some reading done today Spar. I bet it was a good day to stay inside. I think we're getting the cold tomorrow, but no ice or snow. I wish it would snow at least once this year :(
