Hey, hey, hey, Welcome back P.J., Glad you had a good time. Can't believe Nathan didn't just love the historical places. My kids loved visiting those places once I yelled and threatened to ground them for life then beat, tied them up and added duct tape to their mouthes and dragged them to the educational places. They couldn't tell you where they had been a half hour later, it was some dumb place their mom made them go. We had a lot of fun vacations. Glad you got a break and hey, with my big fat ass; if I attempted to put on a thong believe me that sucker would be lost, we would never see it again. Fox would put up a Fox News Allert for its safe return. I however would be willing to sun on a beach with my 3 friends if we all wear a thong. You girls game???? Whats say if we do it we do it good and get animal print thongs? I can't imagine anything up the crack of my ass cause my underwear get in no mans land and I go crazy. Ever have to get them out and make it look like your smoothing out or brushing off your butt? Then you walk to one side trying to get them to fall out and if all else fails you just look around and pluck them out while no ones looking. Wallmarts security cameras in the parking lot has me plucking my panties plenty. I bet its an adult show for some poor security guy that has to cruelly sit and watch me pull my pants outta my ass. Gotta get back to work. Hugs, Mary

Oh, sure Mary, I'll wear a thong with you. We might as well give them a jiggly show they'll never forget. And perhaps then they'll outlaw thongs.

My house is a mess. I've got so much I should be doing, but I just can't get motivated to do anything but whatever I WANT to. I know, I'll do it all tomorrow....

Hope you all are well. I see they have me not getting another mammo until the end of May. I think I'll see if they can move me up and then take this stupid port out.

Well I have out done myself. I shampooed the carpet!!! I barrowed the shampooer like a month ago. Thank the Lord we only have carpet in the livingroom and up the stairs and the hall up there. Its white carpet though, I will never get that again!! It has held up good in the last 6 years or 7. I made the mistake of using bleach to spot clean, Thats a no-no. My husband is painting the bedroom and watching Illinois play (basketball). Thats where my 2 daughters graduated from. He is watching more than painting. We are going out to have bar-b-q ribs after the game is over. We have to plan everything around "the game".Well better go and get things picked up, I am a little tired. I had charlie horses in my calf all night lastnight and I was up of and on. I don't know if its the chemo residue or my bad knee. I have an appt. with another plastic guy Tue. (this one I have been to before) to see about evening my boobs up. My boss wants to go so we can eat at Red Lobster for lunch, Penny pinch will not like that. Well good evening my little thonged friends, Mary

Frankly my Dear I don't give a damn, OOPS, got caught in the moment. A lawyer in town built a house years ago and its called Tarra, its a copy of Tarra from Gone With The Wind inside and out. Well I been puttin it off and it was run the shampooer or help paint. I painted 4 large rooms downstairs ah, ah, 5 years ago and just never got the motivation to finish the upatairs. My husband wants to finish the house cause he thinks we may sell. Now theres an argumant waiting to happen. I am keeping this house just in case we need it. He is just stupid and he makes no decisions he just thinks he does. I am always right. I just wish he would realize that. If I listened to him I would have 30 kids and no shoes! Janie someone had a question on the her 2 board you might know about. Well gotta clean off the dinning room table today. The very reason I made me a desk to keep junk off the table, guess what? I give up, we are messy people. Mary

I had a lumpectomy on the right with a breast reduction on both sides, so as long as I stay with NED, I will not have to go the implant route.

Not that I had much to start with, but I didn't end up uneven so I dont have to face that particular decision. Hope you get what you want done!

Got biopsy results today. Everything is fine, of course, except I'm producing a flood of estrogen. So, looks like a monthly shot for awhile until I can get enough time off to have my ovaries out either late this year or early next. Joy, joy. I was just lamenting the fact yesterday that I'm really out of the baby business. Couldn't try if I wanted to (which I kind of did yesterday) and probably can't adopt. Blech. I hate breast cancer.

Hey ladies! I see Mary hasn't lost her sense of humor. Once again she made me laugh till I cried. I will join you on the beach with a thong- doesn't matter if it is a leopard print,,, no one will see mine!
I did start my swimming lessons and boy is my butt sore. She had us just kicking using a kick board... ugh.. that is hard. She wanted to know if we swam much... I asked if sitting in the hot tub counts! I am determined to lose this weight so off I go to the gym. Team Survivor stuff has me very motivated to keep moving. I've met some wonderful women in that group.. they are strong, just like the women on this board- especially you three great ladies! Aaahhh the paths we have taken on this journey- without it we wouldn't have met.
Carpets need to be cleaned once in awhile... guess I should do that. Desk top? what does that look like? It must be this long thing in my office that holds everything but the kitchen sink!
On a sad note, one of my sons friends died yesterday- lung cancer at 20 years old- mets to the bones- just diagnosed in November. My heart goes out to his family- CANCER SUCKS!
I'm honorary chair for our Relay for Life and want to raise lots of money to get rid of this cancer junk!
gotta go do some more butt exercises so I can wear that thong- heck , I'd be happy in a 2 piece swim suit.

Hi my thonged friends, PJ glad to hear everything was O.K. but sorry to hear you have to have more surgery. Abdominal surg. sucks a little but the more you move the better. I can hardly walk on this knee and the other isn't good. I don't know whats going on but I can't even move to try to get rid of this big fat ass. I was going through my clothes yesterday I had to pick up in my closet (or as better known the spare bedroom) and I was holding up my size 4's wondering if ever I will see that number again. I was quietly taking a walk sorta speak down memory lane, o.k. so its more like a waddle now with a limp but anyway I was reminiscing about the good ol days when I could step into my clothes and not wear myself out trying to pack my size 12 ass in a 10 and then when I get things all zipped up sorta speak I am too tired from all the work and I just wanna get undressed and lay down. Now I also wore a 6 so I wasn't all size 4 but depends who makes it. I think those days are over and it brings a tear to my eye but then I have cleavage now with my new size 12 and o.k. its lopsided but hey I have a lot on my left side. I couldn't get a cleavage with duck tape and a push up bra before. I guess I can't have everything. I guess I will pack the other clothes away as I am buying bigger ones now and by the time I get into them again they will be long outta style. I bought some neat shit on sale the end of the year too. I bid the 4's a fare ado. Lets face it I will never see that again. Renee, you go girl. I would love to swim a little but with my big butt I would sink and with my bad knee I'd be paddling with one leg and just going around in circles. I was doing the steps at work until my knee went out. Now I really look like egore throwing one leg in front of me and trying not to bend it when I walk. I sling it around to my side and gee, I wonder why people don't come and tell me how breathtakingly beautiful I am. My pants stuck up my ass and one boob flopping and my gimp ass leg dragging along and my hair, I don't even want to go there, it just does what it wants. Soooo you girls having a good day? Mary

Sorry to hear about the young man, thats just no fair. I ran to Wally this evening and a gal from my bank asked me how I was etc. She then after exausting the usual questions asked "did they get it all?" (the cancer, we must not be able to use "that" word), I just looked at her for a minute wondering "what the hell is she talking about?" Being me I said without a hitch "NO the Dr. had a lunch date and had to leave." we both laughed (after she saw me laugh.) I was home no longer than an hour when my husbands Dr's nurse called about his X-rays and said he needs an M.R.I on Thurs so she needed some info. O.K. I'll answer your questions, no heart problems, no metal in his body etc. then the last question "is he pregnant?" I was thrown a bit but replied "yes and hes getting neutered after this one." she didn't laugh, I think she was serious, she said I have to ask the questions on the paper. I wonder how people servive in this world sometimes. Later, I have been looking for sun glasses to match our thongs. Hugs, Mary

Renee, so sorry to hear about such a young man being stricken down by cancer so early. How tragic and scary.

Mary, you never cease to make me laugh. Hope the MRI goes OK. What are they looking for?

Pretty dull here. But that's OK. My neighbor (nathan and i were out soliciting donations for jump rope for heart) told me a 31-year-old coworker of hers was just diagnosed with stage 4 bc. she's got a year-old child. i told my neighbor to have her call me if she wanted to talk. she must be terrified. she's already on chemo, but getting it every 3 weeks, which for young women is kind of passe.

    Take care guys

Janie,You little birthday girl, How neat the colored letters for Easter.Yes I am coloring eggs or I should say my grandson is this year. I have had him (the one that always stays so we can bowl every Fri. night)and my bosses grandaughter Thurs. night and lastnight,so I am letting them color eggs for me this year. I always make baskets for the grandkids and my kids. I went to the Dr. yesterday for my knee. I need an M.R.I. to see if its a torn meniscus so I have to get it all done quickly so ins. will pay. Dr. drained it a little as he only had novacain and I can't have nov. and he drained it without anything to numb it, that hurt worse than the injections for the sentinal node mapping. Got a steroid shot like I need more of that crap.It was very sore but a little better this a.m. but I haven't been up much. I have to do Easter at my house this year so I am cooking. Great, hope my knee gets better real quick. My husband can help so thats not a problem. He gets nerveous if he is on a time line but we can do it all tonight.(most of it). We do prize eggs for all the kids so I got all that stuff yesterday(and money eggs got to get some cash) When my mom was alive she had an egg hunt(she had a very big yard) She put 5's, 10's, 20's and one 50 dollar bill in plastic eggs. Some had a little chocolate egg. I know the neighbors thought we were nuts out running around looking under everything and in everything even the trees. Everyone always got something and it was fun.We just do it for the kids now cause its not the same and none of us have that much extra cash. We put a piece of paper in a plastic egg with a number on it and they can get a prize for the number and we put some ones in the eggs. It has rained for 3 days so its a sloppy mess outside. I don't have much back yard because of the pool.I have done the other hollidays but not Easter because of my small yard. We have 23 family mambers. We will muttle through. Later my little thonged easter bunnies. Hey we can get purses, sunglasses and flip-flops to match our thongs! We will be playboy material I am telling yas Hugh will be calling.(the way my ass is growing I may have to get a bungee cord and make me a thong, do they sell those?), Mary

Since I'm not supposed to lift more than 5 pounds with or strain the right arm, I guess my bowling days are over. I have not bowled in many years....but I would like to still have the option in case I'm ever in the mood.

Mary, your Easter holiday sounds like great fun. My oldest spent the weekend with me. We celebrated my birthday (again) and watched some of the basketball games. Our Lady Vols are still in the running. He just left a few minutes ago. I am on Spring Break this week. I am going to spend it catching up on things I am behind on. I drove so many miles going to JAX and back, I have no desire to drive anywhere right now.

    Have a great weekend everybody!

Happy Easter little bunnies, Hey Janie, its great you had a wonderful visit with the eldest and got to celebrate again. What are you kids studing? We were on the edge of our seats lastnight watching the Illinois and Arizona game. We ran to Wally after and everyone was on their cell phones talking about it. Well I have to go get picked up. Later girls, Mary

I heard about that game and saw the end of the Kentucky - Michigan State "edge of the seater" last night. My oldest is an attorney. He has been practicing a little over a year. The second oldest is in the creative arts. He does films, writes columns for the paper, and is now dabbling in photography. My daughter, the youngest, has a BS in psychology and plans to take medical type classes in order to go into the medical field.

    Hi Girls,

Haven't posted in a while (I lurk a lot, vent when I need to and help out where I can).

Any way to keep you up to date - I am FINALLY DONE. I had my last Taxol yesterday.

Talk about a long road. I joined when I started my A/C in June, had surgery for port, had mastectomy, did radiation and finally the taxol. I am now DONE. YIPEEEEEE. I do still have reconstruction to do but I figure sometime next year because of the rads. Thats' fine with me as I am a little sick of seeing doctors. They are wonderful - but I I never had to see one again I would be so happy.

My prayers are with you all still going through this and to those just starting. There is hope and light at the end of the tunnel.

Love and prayers to you all. I will still be lurking as this board and all you girls have been a godsend.

    Caroline,

Time to celebrate (when you get your taste buds back)! Congratulations on finishing the Taxol. You took kind of a different road from many of us. Why did they do rads before Taxol? (The break in chemo probably was a good thing.)

I know what you mean about seeing doctors. Very nice and helpful and all, but NOT my favorite people.

Hope the rest of your road goes smoothly!

Yeah the break was nice but the thing that did suck was losing my hair - having it grow back (about 2 1/2 inches and full) and then losing it AGAIN. That I was not happy with but I can't do anything about that now. Hopefully now it will come in FAST and stay.

    Thanks
    Caroline
