tamoxifin v arimidex

Some advice please. Anyone move from Tamox to Arimidex After 2 years. Onc has suggested this but am scared to finish Tamox.  Also am worried aaaabout side affects. Am  worn out wondering if treatment was right. Help !

    My cousin did Tamoxifin for 5 years and says she had no side effects at all.  (She is a 13 year cancer survivor.)

    My doc says I should get Arimidex for 5 years.  Less side effects, he said.  But I would like to know what others say, too.  I haven't started yet. I'm 59 and postmeno.

    I've had a lot of se's from tamo and had to take a break for 30 days.  I had the joint pain, terrible fatigue and trouble breathing.  My onc didn't believe that this was caused by the tamo but once I stopped I feel so much better.  My period also stopped while on tamo and after quitting for 2 weeks it came back.  Then they found a cyst on my ovaries that wasn't there before the tamo so I'm waiting to see what my onc wants to do.  I just had my 6 m mamo and it was clean but my 30 days is up this week.
