My hair started falling out today,I remembered reading about scalp chilling, but that is not available to me and it does say it prevents the chemo from reaching the scalp cells..I ran across a report telling that Thymuskin can be helpful.I looked it up and it is basically shampoo and conditioner and a gel.It says it has no hormones.I am going to ask my onc about it this Thursday,if anyone has tried it,let me know.I know there are worse things than losing hair,but....!!! There was a women that did something and she didn't lose her hair I'll dig through the posts and see if I can find it, I think it was in a thread called hair, hair hair, questions. or something like that. Once I started Taxol I always put a ice bag on the back of my neck, a nurse said it closes the viens and helps prevent the meds from getting into the brain.  Also she said they used put Ice bonnets on people but there were to many complaints about them being uncomfortable  I am on herecptin only now and if I have to start another chemo med with hair loss as a  side effect I'm going to keep my head cool for at least three days after every treatment, I'm babbling have to search for the wome who saved her hair.
