Jaz, we are in the house but still slowly but surely unpacking and moving more boxes daily. Putting stuff up as we go. I had forgotten we had so much stuff and that is after donating a whole garage full of stuff, there is still so much to do. Build on a covered front porch, build on a deck, The only way in the house right now is the stairs my husband built to the mud room. We have to make a drive way, don't know if we will do small gravel or asphalt but are leaning toward gravel. No landscaping and everyplace we have ever live has had beautiful yards, but it will just take time and saving money to get it all done.
Pictures on the mountain today are beautiful.
Am going to keep on following the stream hiking until I am tired and need some refreshment.
-
Here's the place for your refreshments Spar:) Take a break! Enjoy!

Awhhh Mary-Lou....I LOVE the smell of old barns.
My grandfather had one almost like this and I can still smell the aroma
It wasn't a "good" smell, but it sure brings me back to my childhood,
which is a good thing......good memories spending time with papaw in the barn,
gathering eggs, milking the cow (Dolly).
-
Now I think I would like to rest here awhile.
Look at the beautiful mountains!
Read a book....drink some hot coco or coffee
-
Coonie, I remember playing and riding the horses when I was young all around the barn. Yes, the smell wasn't always pleasant. But i loved it all the same.
When I was old enough I joined 4-H and I showed beef cattle. Slept with my steer in the barn at the fair. Those were the good times.
If I go up to my mom's anytime soon I will look for the pictures. That was so long ago
-
Sixty years ago, I used to play in this barn that belonged to our friends..I just loved the hay loft
-
Hmmm...no barns where I grew up. We played at the mall on the weekends. City girl all the way!
-
What some cool pictures, we had a chicken coop but no barn and it did not smell nice at all and i didn't mind gathering the eggs and sure didn't like scooping out the chicken poop. We did have a goat ranch but they don't take much care, just a pond and they kept the grass all cut down nice and then ate the bark off of the trees. My son had to drink goats milk, when I quit nursing he ended up being allergic to formula and milk so therefore the goat farm came into being. A whole 10 acres dedicated to them and their milk. Wow, to think he is in his 30's now. Time does fly.
Enjoy the mountains, lakes, and streams. I did some real hiking today and it was a blast, say two redbirds just playing with each other.
-
I love the reddish color in this picture. What a bright spot in the day.
-
before we know it the sunflowers will be out again, time goes so fast.
-
What beauty, I can see myself having a picnic and canoeing on this small lake.
-
Hello mountain. It is sure quiet today. It won't be quite tonight cause I will have my grandkids. YEA! Going to take a hike around this small lake and see if I can see any wildlife
Wow, the beauty of butterflies.
A beautiful cardinal
What a blessing today is, inner peace, outer beauty.
-
May I join you on the mountain?
-
Spar, I love the cardinal picture. Gorgeous.
-
I would love to have a pic nic sitting on an old huge log like I did when I was a kid. Use to carry a peanut butter sandwhich and thermos of tea but now I would love to share a bottle of good sweet wine, cheese, crackers, maybe some grapes and chocolate for lunch. And mountain climb to work it all off.
Hey, here is a log.
I'll take it.
Everyone have a wonderful day on the mountain. I am going to see if I can see any more wild life.
-
Oh, found a nest of baby robins. So beautiful
-
I messed up that picture so will try again to show the baby robins I found
-
I think this might be the momma
-
found a whole field of lady bugs that really brightened my day. They are so useful.
When we moved in this house a few weeks ago and finally got the central heat going, hundreds of lady bugs came out of the vent in the living room so we gathered them up and put them outside but everyonce in a while I will find another one and put him outside.
-
Awwhhh I love the baby birds and eggs. I have several nests that I've kept after the birds have moved on.
Hey Sharon! Glad you came over from the beach to the mountain! I think you'll enjoy the view here too.
-
We try to make if welcome for everyone, the above picture makes me sad though because I love ducks and was really attached to one and she died not long ago. On of my sisters here fixed me a beautiful picture of her. Boy do they have personalities and can give you some looks. they are cute as they can be and so much fun. My duck when I would want to pet her she would run from me, when I would give up she would come over and peck at my pants until I would finally pet her. I do love all wildlife.

Spar, I love the baby robins..the egg color is perfect isn't it..
this is the view from one of the hotels we are to stay in this June..

So tell me has all the HOOOO HAAAAWWW settled down? Can I come back now? I was so bullied through school that it scarred me. I was no one's friend. If someone became my friend the rest of the group would austrasize them until they repented and started to harass me.
So when I see she said and she said and I go hide. I dont pick one over another, though I admit that several relationships have blossomed very quickly. And they know I am the first to give the RAH RAH speech.
So I ask once and only once, is everyone welcome here or are there some more welcome than others, or even barely tolerated.
Depending on the answer.... I get to travel the imaginary mountains even though I have less and less mobility or I leave them.... until those people (or ME) are gone.
-
I just arrived myself dream. I'm sure we are both welcome.
