    I had a friend that told me regular salt causes inflamation and that Sea Salt was better for you than regular salt. True?

    I have heard that sea salt is better for you..I use it insteasd of regular salt....It has less sodium and won't run your blood pressure up like normal salt.......

    According to the Mayo Clinic website, there is no nutritional difference in sea salt and mined salt, although the taste is a bit different because of the different minerals in each.  Also, apparently there is no difference in the amt of sodium, chemically speaking. Salt is salt!  (aka sodium chloride, or NaCl).

    Doesn't table salt still have iodine added to it?  I use both sea salt and table salt.  Usually the sea salt for cooking and the table salt for flavoring after the fact.

    Table salt comes both iodized and not iodized. Just depends on the package you pick up, lol. Sea salt can also be iodized or uniodized. Some people need that little bit they get from this source, but most people who eat a varied diet can get enough from other things. You really only need a very small amount.
