Florida People WHERE R U?

Hello Ladies,
I am not too far from Ocala. I'm in Chuluota, which is right outside of Orlando. Depending on where you meet and my schedule, I'd love to join.
-
I live in Kissimmee, and depending on the day and time, would love to meet up with everyone.
Will wait for the details.
Hugs,
Karen
-
For those that can get to Ft. Pierce, yes, plenty of restuarants close to I-95.
For any other location, just put the details here I will make it if I can. My 5th tx is Monday (Jan 19) so no 3 hour drives for me this week. but for the two weeks following, if I am not working, I will travel.
I am only 2 hours from Kissimmee.
Lisa
-
Faith, Please give Marsha a hug from me if you see her!!! Lisa too if she makes it.
-
OK. Our little Ocala-plan is coming together!!
It looks like this Fri and we will begin gathering around 11:00 a.m.
So far: MarshaKB, HipChik47 and myself.
Kdeit can you make Fri?? Lisa, if you're up to it, of course you're welcome, is there anybody that would be willing to drive you??
Ocala Ale House (lot's of different kinds food)
The Ale House is in the city limits of Ocala, about three blocks from Hwy 441/301. Also just down the road from my rad onc's office. Like I said, I use the walker around the house but a wheelchair to get out anywhere else. Sorry to have to make this so "about me" but there you have it. LOL
There will be LOTS of hugging and Sharon I will inscribe several hugs from you to each able to make it!!
edited to add that I pasted this info from a PM from Marsha -- so it's her rad office that we will be in close proximity to..... (didn't want to confuse anyone, right off the bat. LOL)
-
Hi, I live in Tallahassee
-
WOO HOO!! This Friday's good for me.
Lisa, I wish you weren't south of Kissimmee!! Could someone drive you to Kissimmee and then you could ride with me the rest of the way?
If not, let's try to have another get-together in the Ft. Pierce area soon?
Auriga, will you be able to go to Ocala?
Hi 2Twentyeight - welcome!! I'll bet you're cold up there today!!
Hugs,
Karen
-
Hi 2Twentyeight!!!
Ocala Ladies, I will have to pass on this one. I mapquested the Ocala Ale House and it is 3 hours exactly for me. I won't have the energy for a 6 hour car ride so close to a tx.
But let's please keep this thread going now that it has been revived.!!
Please takes pics!!!!
Lisa
-
Thanks for the welcomes!! Warmer today in Tally!
I work so will miss this outing in Ocala. Sounds like great fun and maybe I can attend later. -
Yes, I can make this. It would be a 2 hour drive for me but my parents live right down the road in the Villages in Lady Lake, so I will make a day of it, and stop and see them too.
This should be fun. I'm looking forward to it.
-
Can we come up with another one - maybe somewhere around Melbourne?
Lisa
-
I'd be interested in another one in the Melbourne area - is there anyone besides me and Lisa who could meet up there or even in Ft. Pierce, if it would make it easier for anyone else from South Florida to come.
Hugs,
Karen
-
ommmmmgoooooooooooooodness!! it's an actual party!!
We're up to 5 by my figuring:
Marshakb
HipChik47
kdeit/Karen
auriga
Faithandfifty/me/Debbie
I'll PM everyone my cell phone -- tho I have no idea about the area, so I won't be any help in that regard. Anyone else out there, ready to jump in?? None of us have met each other -- so this would be a great one to get in on.
-
Will try my best to get there. Will also talk to Terricarolyn - see if she fancies a drive to Ocala on Friday too.
-
Great. My hair started falling out yesterday. Now I have meet you ladies with my wig on. Doesn't it figure?
-
(((((auriga)))))
I'll bet no one will even know that you are wearing a wig - they look so real these days. Please try not to let it bother you.
Hugs,
Karen
-
choca1711 (Elaine),
I hope you can make it - it'll be great to see you again!!
Hugs,
Karen

awesomeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee....... sorry that many of you are outside of the travel distance to head up this way. we'll take some pictures!! and hug a lot!!
-
Debbie,
I've been wondering, when we get there, how do you want us to identify ourselves, since very few of us have ever met before. Are you going to ask the Ale House to have an area set up for us?
Hugs,
Karen
-
Good question Karen. I was thinking the same thing.
I hope it warms up before Friday. It's freezing here.
-
Hi guys, looking forward to meeting everyone Friday. I didn't realize so many lived near by. I'll call CatFromFl today to see if she can make it too. She's a chatter from 2 years ago and still comes on periodically.
Whoever gets there first, can we ask for a table on the same level as the front door? I will be in a wheelchair as I can't put any weight on my left leg. I think the Ale House has some stepdown levels but also tables on the same level as the door. Thanks! Marsha
-
I'll call them right now and see if they will reserve space for 8 for us. I'll put it in BCO @ the front door.
-
OK. Went to call them, thru the link I posted above and couldn't find the place. I'm techno challenged obviously. LOL. Now I can't find the PM from Marsha with the specifics. Will PM you again Marsha. Will get this all sorted out, just ASAP. Stay turned.
-
Checking again with specifics. All is sorted out.
We are meeting at the The Ocala Ale House, Ocala
their address is: 305 SE 17th St, Ocala FL 34471-4434
(for those of you relying on your handy GPS)
Their phone number is (352) 620-8989.
I have just spoken to their hostess and she said that they do indeed open @ 11:00 on Fri. She has 'reserved' their big table in the pool hall area under my name/Debbie Clement & BCO. (They don't usually do reservations, but are making an exception for us.)
Marsha, she assures me that this area is wheel chair accessible. (I asked her no less than 3 times)
PM me, if you want my cell phone. (Tho you can see what a total dither I am at this.....)
edited to add the zip code. LOL
