Vitamin E suppositories

Options

Has anyone used Vitamin E suppositories for vaginal atrophy? Did they help?   I am looking for alternatives to using Estring.  My gyn wants me to use the Estring but it really scares me as the warnings say do not use if you have had breast cancer. My oncologist said it was ok. I am told Estring contains the lowest dosage of estrogen of all the Rx available.  I used vagifem for 5 yrs all along be assured it would not cause cancer.  One week after the last time my old gyn told me that, I was diagnosed with breast cancer!

Someone on these boards (Marin?) recommended vitamin E suppositories.  I started using it every three days, then every 4, 5, 6, and now once a week.  It does seen to have helped, and is cheaper than anything else I found.

    Mawhinney-

you will find some good information if you go to the following  topics of "Moving beyond Cancer" and go to the "I want my MoJo back" thread and also  the topic of "Singles with breast cancer" go to the MOJO without Matrimony thread.  There are many topics such as yours and other very interesting topcs posted there.  You will probably find the posting OLBinnNJ is referring to on one of these forums since Marin posts often there.  Also do a search for "vaginal atrophy" in the keyword box, there's actually alot of info on this site about that topic. Good luck in finding your answer.

    Hi,

I am sorry the last pst I wrote was wrong.

I wrote "vit E can Help but not for peaople who smoke" It's wrong I confused with another substance

But I have other infos about vitamins

I read some studies about vitamins and it's coontreversy.

Little dosis of vitamins could protect cancer cells and decrease the efficiency of some chenoor radiotherapies

But mega doses could kill the cancer cells but it's always under medical supervision and ofter Intravenous.

I also read that you can get meny good substances with an healthy food (fruits, vegetables...) But also ask your doctor about your diet.

To decrease the side effects there are also other methods, special diets, antiemmetics.

If you are not able to eat, maybe it's different.

For vitamins E maybe it can help in some situation, I don't know.

Anyway I am not a doctor

So anyway always ask your doctor before doing anything.
