Hi ladies! I've been really busy this week so sorry for the late reply. We could schedule for Monday, but I just checked my flights and I've got a layover in Chicago that puts me in later than I thought. If all goes well I could meet for dinner at 7 pm ... but when does anything ever go well when airlines are involved?
My work day is over at 5 pm on Tuesday (in Huntington Beach), so I could meet for dinner at 6 or 7 Tuesday .... would that work for you two? If not, then we can plan for Monday at 7 pm, but if my flight is late I may not be able to make it.
Let me know what you think!

Wow, girls! It's nice to see you all actually post! Lar, I'm so sorry, I won't be able to meet you tomorrow. I truly hope that the next time you are in the Big Apple you let me know. It would have been fantastic to meet you!!! Again, I'm REALLY sorry!!!!!!!
Not too much news to report... Missing my dad desperately. I cannot believe what a void his passing has left in my life...it's been really hard.
Health-wise I'm doing great. Had a clear mammo back in October... Gyn did NOT send my for another TVUS which made me very happy. Have to schedule an MRI for Feb.
Going on a cruise in March, then the Outer Banks for a week the end of June. Going to try and set up another crusie to Bermuda in the late summer/early fall...
Anyone on Facebook? I've joined...it's pretty cool. LeeAnne and I are friends...
Take care...sorry again Lar......would have loved to have met you...
Love, Ginny

Ginny sorry it didn't work out. I'm sitting in a starbucks at the corner of 8th ave and 16th st waiting for my friend to get off work. It's good to be back here! It's been five years since I have.

We're hunkered down here in southern Minnesota, waiting for the arctic weather to pass. The wind chill yesterday morning was neg-50! Shriek!!!

Hey everybody....y'alls hair looks great! CindyMN....is that a recent pic of yours????
I wish I was meeting up with you!!!!!!!
(((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))
-
Yep, that's how my hair looks now. I keep it short and now must get *perms* to have curls. This is how I've worn my hair for years, so it was kind of cool not to have to pay for perms for awhile! LOL It was also nice that I got my old hairstyle back fairly quickly.

Wow.....I'm so far away from where my hair used to be....
Oh well, at least I have hair!!!

Hi Liz and Cindy!! As I suspected, my flight was canceled today so I got in later than expected. Sure glad we didn't plan for this evening! I'm still on for tomorrow evening but don't want to call you all so late. How about we plan for dinner at 6:30? I'll post on our private group a suggested place.
-
I just wanted to get the word out that for some reason our Yahoo group isn't there! It's not just ours, but also happened to another group I'm in (but not administrating), yet a third one I'm still able to find. Very weird! I just didn't want anyone to think that I'd closed up shop! The other one that disappeared I e-mailed the adminstrator and asked why she'd closed it up ... but then I thought to check our May2007 group and *poof* ... it wasn't there either! I'll let you know if we can restore it.

Oh, and if you didn't noticed, there are three interesting arcticles on the home page of this site on studies presented at the annual breast cancer symposium (not actually sure that's what it's called, but you get my drift.)

Hello, everyone! I haven't been at this site for a long time, but thought I'd look tonight as I took a 3-hour nap this afternoon and can't fall asleep! Not good planning. Sounds like everyone is doing well. Things are great with me. Health is great and I feel great. Need to lose a few pounds, but who doesn't? The worse thing for me is my implants. I had implants put in June 2008 and I immediately got capsular contracture. My surgeon, oncologist and radiologists all told me I had to go back to my PS and get it redone. Well, I did in June of 2009. And it has gone back to almost the same again. Bad capsular contracture. No one is sure why. But the PS said he wouldn't do surgery again. So...it looks fine under clothes, but feels quite tight. I guess it's just the way it is. I'm just glad my health is OK. And I can wear a swimsuit and look OK...which is important to me as I love to swim and go to waterparks with my grandkids.
I'll put up a new avatar soon...my hair has been cut many times...is still very straight and exactly like it used to be. I can't hardly remember not having hair...which is great! I belong to Facebook also...so I'll look you guys up...I'm just new...under Lorain Parkinson Vires.
Gotta go to bed, but hi to all of you! I still think of you all often. I'd never have gotten through the "tough" days without my friends here! And that's you guys!!!!! I recommend it to everyone. I'm so glad our lives are back to normal...and I really feel that way myself. Praise God!
Bye for now! Lorain
