    How come my oncologist tested for the estrogen status but not progresterone?  I got the her2 status done and will get herceptin but when I asked about the pr, they said they don't test for that.  Is that normal?

    Personally I have never met anyone who wasn't tested for the PR status. It is important to know your PR status mainly in cases where the tumour is ER-. If a tumour is ER-,PR+ hormonal treatments may work, whereas ER-,PR- means it won't work. If I were you, I would insist on the test.
