WTF
What happened to this thread? It was always good for a laugh.

got me, I don't even remember it--but wha else is new?
-
well, some people were offended by the thread and it ultimately got moved to the humor forum so we were not hurting the feelings of those that got offended. But personally by all means lets get it back.
So who has a good WTF?? I know I do, my son is coming home from Iraq in the next two weeks and his soon to be ex wife who decided she doesn't want to be married anymore while he was at war is not wanting to let me take one of his sons to TX to see him as he comes home from a year and a half at war!!!!! WTF is up with that one?????
-
(((LuAnn)))
My WTF is the snow! We got 8" Friday (10" at o'hare and 12" at my dad's house!) and now more tomorrow night w/blizzard-like conditions! WTF?! I've always hated winter.....
-
I love winter now that I don't have it anymore LOL Enjoy your snow!!!! Isn't it beautiful after it first lands and everything is beautiful and white? Once the cars start driving though it starts to look ugly! Enjoy it while you can
-
I approached my SO about us regaining our intimacy and was told right now it would be like two rhinocerouses bumping together because of the weight we've gained while I was going through tx. WTF is up with that? Good thing I have thick skin and a wry sense of humor!
-
Did you tell him he better start dieting soon so he wouldn't feel like a rhino anymore???? LOL
-
-
Marin - you are too funny, sister!! Hmmm, they look "horny"!
-
too funny...you know I had to share this! Maybe we'll learn to think before we speak!
-
those rhinos don't seem to be having any problems. Only Fitchik could find a pic of rhinos doing it LOL
-
If only I could print them out and tack them up on our fridge! And the bathroom mirror! And the back door by the lightswitch! Heck, all over the dang house!
-
OMG that is hysterical Marin!
My WTF is: My little ones have been through so much with my bc, thyroid cancer, ooph, appts, non-stop trips to NY, blah, blah, blah. Then, last month, my middle child, Nicky 11, was dx'd with epilepsy following a major seizure. WTF? Haven't we had enough already?
-
Jeez, and I thought I needed a break. I know what it is all about Kim, you must just like to travel into the city!
-
Ha! I wish that was it. I used to love the city, LuAnn, but anymore I only associate it with cancer.
-
I bet you do, I just got back from the city and gee, I was there to see a rads doctor about SRS on my sternum.....see cancer again.....
-
I dont have any pix of rhinos doing it but I do have llama's. Took the girl guides to African Lion Safari and the first thing they see is llamas doing it. A 6 year old spark says.... The lady llama doesnt look like she likes it. Which made every adult keel over with laughter. So then we went on the bus tour, the rhinos were doing it (pix did not turn out), the giraffes were doing it, the monkeys were doing it or at least playing with parts unmentioned. And here we are, a bunch of city kids aged 6 to 16.....!!!!!
-
Dream-at least someone is getting some.
Fly-I agree with Luanne and tell SO time for him to diet!
Luanne-been following your story with your son and grandkids-so happy to hear your son is coming home and last I read one of your grandbabies is going with you. I know it will tire you but enjoy it to the fullest-also sorry to hear about your sternum-seems like you can't catch a break lately. Sending all good wishes and thoughts to you.
Kim-sorry to hear about your child- a friends child has been diagnosed with the same-she is having very good results on medication and I hope that for you too. You are right though, enough is enough.
Best wishes to all of you.

don't mean to change the subject but just wondering if anyone knows what kind of rad schedule i might be looking at. the offensive node/s (which by the way, are still not behaving in a ladylike fashion) is behind my liver and right up against the pancreas and right by the mouth of pancreas and gallbladder as well as entrance to the poor bile duct that was brutalized last week.
i'm really hoping it won't be as long as after mx....6 weeks, as i have much less stamina now than i did before. also will they target just the node? what if i get liver mets in future...can that only be radiated once? so far my liver has no mets just beat up from all that's going on in there.
been very depressed last few days. this has been going on since early sept, not to mention that since being dx with mets in jan last year, it's been a very bad year. i truly don't want to continue living like this...in bed all day, can't drive...will be getting meals on wheels. i'm 64 and i see 85 yo women running around. qual. of life is non-existent. i also don't know how much taxol differs from taxotere (which i had first go round). that was rough for me and i had a reaction to that not to mention the neupogen, which had to be stopped when i built up an intolorance to it. and foolish as it might sound, losing my hair again (if taxol does this) would be devastating to me. my mets showed up before i was even done with treatment the first time, so i don't look at 3year surviving next month but 3 year enduring. i do apoligize. most of you ladies are so encouraging and suportive and all i have to offer is pity parties.
-
jerseymaria - How dare you apologize for having a pity party??!! You've been through h*ll. You have every right to be depressed. It's easy to be upbeat when the only problems I have are some achy joints. So far.
Your picture is beautiful. I have no answers to your questions. I wish I did. But, it breaks my heart when you say "three years enduring". I'm not certain if my prayers are heard, but I will send up a slew. You are in my thoughts and my heart.
Soft and gentle hugs.
-
maria, I am so sorry you are having such a rough go around lately! I'd love to take a magic wand and take away all the problems you are having. I am not sure what you are doing rads wise but they are all different. I met with a rad onc today and I am amazed at all they can do with rads anymore. Hopefully you won't be down too long!

We all need a little stress-reliever ! This only takes a minute
Sometimes when you have a stressful day or week, you need some silliness to break up the day. If we are honest, we have a lot more stressful days than not.
Here is your dose of humor...

sloopy farklechunks here...shouting out to Maria ~ exactly what was already said. You've been through a lot the past few months - we can't always be pillars and if you can't pity party here, you can't pity party anywhere. I hope things are better today...
my WTF...puking - again yesterday...and we can't figure out why! It's so maddening. If I'm going to puke, there should be several margarita's involved!
Blondi - thanks for the game...it always cracks me up to do these....
-
fly- how far out are you from the hyster/oopher?
Pucking could be surgery related. Call your Dr.
-
okay I have a WTF moment for ya. my boss called and asked me to cover a 2 hour shift for another girl who's husband was ill and couldnt watch the baby (guess they dont have grandparent available) , anyway I had worked 8 hours already, the day after chemo treatment i might add. but since the client was an easy one is said "yes, I am tired but yeah i can handle that."
her response was "oh honey we're all tired" I just looked at the phone and hung up. I wasnt as mad about the comment since we all sometimes dont think before we speak I was mad she didnt call back and apologize. Hello i dont mean i could use a nap I mean drop into a chair and never move again tired. and I might add I had to call my sitter and get her to keep my son another three hours. That other girl better help me out when I am too pooped to work.
Sue
-
Hmmm Sue, GOD bless you for not ripping into her...I think I would have...if not literally, then sarcastically.
Dani ~ so sorry I missed your reply...good to see you here though! I ended up not getting my surgery because of the puking...they took me off the Herceptin and it hasn't happened since. I'm re-scheduled to have my surgery on the 11th now. Once I'm back in action from that I will start Herceptin back up weekly and see if that helps.
WTF...is up with the lack of SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want a STORM darn it!
-
you want snow? I can send you as much as you want. we got another foot today. it just hasnt stopped since the beginning of dec. We have had measurable snow every day for the last 40 days. Wonderful Upper Michigan. lol
-
hi this is snickle picklebutt.... i hang my head in shame.....
We have lots of snow and cold and snow and cold... just enough that I ended up in hospital with NO visitors.... my husband and daughter were sick and my best friend could not get through the snow as she is in a wheelchair. But I do have to say the nurses took good care of me.
-
Snow - I would love snow! Where I come from the average temperature over the past couple of weeks has been 40C with a top of 46C, I think that is about 114. The heat at this time of the year is never ending and really look forward to just one cool day.
-
Hey Bondiblonde, If you really want some snow, I would be glad to send you some, hand delivered by my vagabound 27 year old son who is headed down under next month to check out those beautiful aussies. Is there a way keep snow from melting on a plane? Maybe you can put a little something on the barbie for him? If you have a beautiful daughter, keep her away from my son. I do not want you coming back here to complain about some American guy who steals her heart. I am warning you, he tends to collect girlfriends. I am just hoping that someday he will be happy with just one! How much snow do you want? I have 2 acres of it about 2 feet high!
Oh, I can't sign my new name because the word for the letter E is left out above.
-
e = chicken (looks like the tab didn't work)
I'm Dorfus Battyface. Don't have a WTF but we were THRILLED a month ago to get snow in Houston, Texas. See, H*ll does freeze over sometimes!
Marin, loved the rhinos.
