Ixempra is a new chemo. It us only being used on us girls who have progressed on other chemos right now. It is being looked at for first line of treatment in the future but it way to early to know that for sure.
Newalex,
There are standard protocol for breast cancer treatment depending on your Stage, Grade and receptor. This shows how aggressive your disease and how early it was found. This is the information your doctor will use to make the call on your treatment options. There are not all that many options for Stage I and II disease. Stage III they change ever so little depending on the center. But most of us get the same treatment options until you have big problems with side effects or have other health issue that could keep you from using some chemos. A example is heart or liver issues. Please know that we all second guess are treatment at first but at some point you must have peace and move on with treatment and trust in your doctor. Hang in there things will get better.

I am scared with the uncertainties. I am early stage with 1 cm and 1mm in one of the nodes. Doctor gave me DD AC biweekly and weekly T.
Have you seen many long term survivors of TN ? It seems like there are not many come to this board. Does that mean there are not many or means they moved on to their life, normal life?

Yes, you guess right...many with early stage do not stay involved with this site. Many ladies who had breast cancer just as few as five or six years ago would not even know they were triple neg because they did not know how to diagnose it. These ladies did not get any special treatment because of this and did just find. We are only 15% of bc patients so there are not so many of us running around on this site. Please do not fear this label. Your treatment is what 98% of us had. Maybe in a different treatment schedule. The old days they gave us all three at the same time. The key to breast cancer is catching it early. And you sound like you did. Please have peace you done everything you can and you must now take excellent care of yourself and move on with living life to the fullest. Please take time to research now how to rebuild your body from the treatments and prevention. There are more and more thing coming out about preventing recurrence. Please think of this a your next treatment option. Healthy diet & exercises with supplement as needed. This will is harder then chemo because you have to manage this treatment all by yourself. You will feel so much better taking control of this area of your life. Please find some good reading material on people who have beat cancer and see how they went on with getting back to life. And always remember new research is going on all the time. This time they are looking more at us TN!
