Ok more on me! I live in California, i have been married 15 years in May, found out i had cancer on my fourteenth wedding anniversary!!! Yuck!! I have 3 kids, age 16, 11, and 9. I did chemo first, had complete response, but am doing rads now, even though noone really knows if i need it, but i did have at least one positive node before chemo. I go for my 3rd Herceptin treatment on Wednesday. Am trying to figure out if i'm having side effects!! I notice a few days later my stomach is upset, and ive had alot of leg pain, but not sure if thats left over from the lovely taxol i did
Anyone else noticed any side effects yet?
Laura
-
Hi Laura! I have not had Herceptin alone yet to see what SE is from what... ??? I did have a lot of leg pain after taxol/her was over... not during. I will start Herceptin again here in about 3 weeks or so....alone.... so we will see....
Everyone have a GREAT Sunday!
Laura
-
Hi all, bottoms up! I have Herceptin until October, so I'll be happy to tip a few with you.
Cheers!
-
Count me in. Thursday I had my first Herceptin only, after the load dose on Dec 18. The neuropathy is back in my ring and little fingers -- it went away between the last Taxol and H on Oct 30.. Do NOT tell me it wasn't Herceptin...!!!
I volunteer to be the DD, designated driver. Since my son's wedding, May 24, I have had only one very weak Rum and coke. Not sure it helped or not, but I am not going to chance it. I love a Pah Tee... BTW, I have an unopened half gallon of Bacardi Gold... and I will donate it to the "cause" !!
-
Hello Fellow Travelers -
I just started Herceptin on the 6th, followed by T and C, which I will get X6, then H for the rest of the year. I think my SE's are from the T - joint aches. Another discussion group recommended something called Throat Coat organic tea, to prevent mouth sores. Yesterday I topped it off with a little bourbon - it's a keeper if you like the flavor of the tea - lycoris.
-
I am in... I have two more chemo treatments and will continue Herceptin every 3 weeks for a year.... done Nov 09. I can't WAIT for chemo to be over!
I will take some of that homemade Sangria! (and would love the recipe!)
-
My Herceptin treatments will end in April - about the same time as you DianaT - and I can't wait! Then I'll have a two month break before I go for more surgery to fix my ugly abdominal scar and big bulge - more pain and drains, alas. Then I can get this foob fixed once and for all - maybe even a new nipple - and then I hope to be on a cruise ship somewhere with a Pina Colata in my hand! In the meantime - I'm so happy to join you all on this party bus!
-
Hey girlie's... Have a GREAT Monday and come back here tomorrow and share your Monday woes....:)

I'm so glad I stumbled on this group. I have had 14 Herceptin tx's with 3 left to go. My mamm is coming up in 10 days and I am scared to death, trying to be optomistic. Congratulation Marejo, I pray I will be that lucky.
I'd like to throw in some Miller Light if you don't mind.
I'm 54, mother to 2 grown and married kids with 3 incredible grandkids that helped get me through the chemo. I want to be around to dance at their weddings. God Bless ladies and have a good week. Mary
-
Ladies!
I'll finish Herceptin in April after a prior right mastectomy, six rounds of TCH, and continuing Femara. I can't wait to stop returning to what feels like the place where I was molested...odd that I loathe the infusion center which saved my life.
Joint pain and stiffness along with loss of libido and dryness are currently haunting me. Not sure what is the precise cause, but imagine it is the stripping of whatever estrogen is left in my body. Any one else on this particular cocktail?
I remind myself every day that I am powerless to change the past, and that worrying about the future is a useless exercise.
I will toast you all with a dry vodka martini with olives in a chilled glass.
Cheers and Great Health!

Sorry I missed your party. I just had my last Herceptin on January 8th. It's amazing how quickly the time goes.
-
Hi all,
Love ot join your party or is it over? Anyway, I'll be on Herceptin for the rest of the year, maybe longer. My onc is looking into the 2year studies. Anyone know anything about this? I'm up for whatever they'll give me! I'm 37 y.o, dx at age 36. I've been married for 14 years and have 4 children, ages 12, 10, 7, and 4. HI Tina,
I wrote you in another forum. I was curiuos if you had any tip for my toenails and fingernails. I am going to lose my big toenails any day now. They are so gross looking....like they are coming up from the bottom of the nail bed.
I also am 37 years old. I don't have any children but have been dating a wonderful man for 4 years. I was still hoping to have kids.
