yes- I have been thinking it was just me- more and more often I find this happening. I don't think I am sleeping differently but sure don't remember this happening with such frequancy before all this cancer stuff..althoiugh can't pin point this to cancer treatments either.

Yes, me too, my hands and feet actually. Not sure if it's a leftover side effect from chemo or just getting old.

Have your back checked out just to be sure. You can have a disc that has moved and will pinch nerves when you lay down. Everyone in my family complains of this??? We all have upper back issues. From setting at a desk/computer too many hours while being tense. Hands and Feet only can be left over neuropathy. Trying getting a massage on these area it really does help.

Does anyone know if you can develop neuropathy after finishing chemo? I finished in May, but the last month or so have had trouble with numbness and tingling in fingers and toes. I will ask onc when I see her in January, but wondered if anyone else had this trouble after treatment.

I started to have the numbness and tingling in my leg and foot about 18 months after finishing chemo. Onc says it is unusual and I am now wondering if it is the Femara causing it. She put me on gabapentin and it helped a little.

I did not have chemo but suffer with this too only since the BC. I am still pre menopausal but do take Tamoxifen.

Yes, you can get neuropathy after stopping chemo. But it usually with in a few months of completing chemo. You can have neuropathy for other reasons. Diabetes for example. But I also have meet other with neuropathy with no real explanation of why??? I have also learned they no really very little about this. Do try deep tissue massage and micro-current. This does help a lot.

I used to have numb hands and feet when I woke up or after took a nap before I was diagnosied DCIS. Right now I exercise every day including swinging my two hands, I used to walk with my two hands in my pockets, hey it's cold outside in NJ in Winter! This Winter I am so far so good. I was told to swing my two hands when I walk as much as possible to help circulate blood.

My hands fall asleep when I drive, talk on the phone, sleep, etc....
Sometimes at night I wake up with numb yet painful arms. If I don't move my fingers often, they get very stiff and sore. My thumb joints on my right hand feel as if my thumb is out of place if I move it the wrong way.
My onc. thought it might be the Arimidex and suggested I try tamoxifin. (which I refuse to take).
I saw my MD and he thought I had arthritis. But x-rays and blood work showed no arthritis. I only had two lymph nodes removed from that side, but wonder if I could have nerve damage.
