Slonedeb. I've had a great-big day. Productive. I've been praying for your pain to receed -- or at the least to be managed by the medications.
Focus on the good.
Enjoy the positive.
Have you been watching any of the bowl games or were you able to see any of the parades?
I baked a couple of pumpkin pies this morning, before I went to the recording studio. I so seldom do anything "domestic" or in the kitchen -- so everyone's always tickled when I put on my apron.
Much love, sweetheart.

"Ride out your storms."
p.s. I'm always praying for our Kbug and for TripNegStephanie, too.

Father, Instill in me a reason for hope, Bring , I pray, calm the raging storms of my life. I am afraid of the cancer, But I am not afraid of you. Help me to place my trust not in the well-meaning doctors, nurses, nutritionist, and clergy who attends my needs, But in You and you alone. Use them, I pray, as conduits of Your grace, And bring me healing I know You will bring me if You so desire. I offer my humble prayer in the name of the Great Physician, Jesus Christ. AMEN

Slonedeb. How's your leg today? Thinking of you as I start my morning. Lots on the agenda & I'm always grateful for work to do.
Lisa: welcome to our SloneRanger sisterhood. We pray for our Slonedeb, but in the process we weave a tight circle bringing each other's stories into our hearts. Our prayers will reflect off of Slonedeb and bounce right into your story as well.
Slonedeb is an example of persevering in the face of it all. We stand together with her..... as she rides thru each storm that unfolds on the horizon.

Hi Deb, and welcome to the New Year. I wrote my first grocery store check today and didn't write 2008! That's a good sign for the year Deb. It's the small things in life. Living day by day, enjoying each other, relishing every bite of a sandwich or taste of fluid, even if water. Breaking it down like this keeps tension away for me. I do hope your pain has lessened, that you'll update your oncologist if it's too much. I do pray for you as well as bug and triplenegative each day.All my best to you,Tender

What an uplifting place to come, even in the face of storms. Thank you girls for the focus on the heavenly and riding out the storms. Thank you all for the gentle, inspiring words and thoughts to persevere through each day and its trials and look for the good and honest and true around us. Thank you all for the friendships forged this past year and many blessings and peace in the days and year to come.
Slonedeb, praying for you daily and wishing you small moments of joy and life.

Hey my bc sisters. My computer has been messed up so hoping it will stay fixed. I had chemo on wed. Yesterday felt real good today oh crappy.... Thank you for your prayers. I really need them. I get so out of breath. My pulse oxygen two weeks ago was 93 doesnt seem to bother the dr but sure does me. I have been battling this feeling of hopelessness. I know God said by is stripes we are healed but I feel more like my healing is not coming. My kids and grands give me lots of reason to fight on. I love you all so much and pray for u each day. God bless my sisters here....

Slonedeb and all of the SloneRangers.
A new day uncurls. It's a crisp one here, but not threatening, just need to bundle up against the elements and the wind.
I'm starting the day with prayers for our S-Deb and for everyone here who's offering support for her. Let us continue in our efforts to offer encouragement, and in that process we will weave a bridge of hope, one day at a time, into the future.

Dear Lord, I offer up this prayer for Slonedeb, kbug, and TripleNeg:
Loving Father, hear my cry for relief, as well as the relief of those I love, from agony, burdens, and suffering. By the power of the Holy Spirit, answer in amazing and miraculous ways, so that we may not only be relieved, but in such a way that you may be glorified. In the wonderful Name of Jesus I pray. Amen.
-
Dearest Slonedeb, what an incredible post to wake up and start my day. Your words literally lept off the screen and into my heart. I'm so glad to hear that you've had some good moments amidst the storms. I'll pray for continued relief and that your pain is kept in check.
What an amazing example you are to us. You've been continually knocked down and then by the grace of God, bounce right back. You are a marvel, dear friend, a true miracle.
Well basketball is also unfolding so I hope that gives you some happy distraction. With my several projects unfolding at the same time I don't have enough hours in the day to be watching sports right now -- tho all eyes will be on our Buckeyes bowl game tomorrow. I think we're the underdogs?? Hope that they play well on the national screen.
Take care, dear sister.
Continued prayers for all of our family here @ BCO and certainly naming all the names individually of our SloneRangers.

So wonderful to read your post, Deb! A good start to the new year for you, and that you're feeling some better brought a big smile to my face.
Our family had "hop n john" to start the New Year: black eyed beans with rice and herbs. It was very tasty (my DH is a good cook). It's been a good couple of days, and the warmer weather helps me keep moving. So glad to see we're all hanging tight, and best of all, that you're feeling better, Deb. What a wonderful new year gift!((Hugs))Tender -
Night. Sweetest.

Starting a new day!! Whoooo it's still seriously dark outside right now.
Slonedeb. Sending you prayers for strength and courage as you continue this walk.
Thinking of you this morning as I'm jumping back into all the excitement that goes along with the first school-day in the new calendar year. Children have been snuggled at home & must wake up again to the alarm-of-learning.
"Ride out your storms."

For Deb from Kentucky and ALL the Slone Rangers who love her:
Prayer At Time Of Adversity
An Inuit Indian Prayer
I think over again my small adventures.
My fears,
Those small ones that seemed so big,
For all the vital things
I had to get and reach.
And yet there is only one great thing,
The only thing,
To live to see the great day that dawns
And the light that fills the world. -
What a lovely prayer, Daffodil. Thank you for posting it. We do love our dear Slonedeb.
Prayers for you and your sisters and brothers with bc, Deb.

Time to unwind from a full day. Tonight's our Fiesta Bowl..... interested to see how this goes for our Buckeyes. No one seems to think we have a chance. I always cheer for the underdogs, but had hoped we had a chance. Time will tell.
Slonedeb. Thinking of you tonight. Sending you encouragement.

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you;
Not as the world gives do Igive to you. Let not your
heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 25:16-18
Dear Lord, Hold our sister close and help her to fight
She is a special sister, And we love her with all our might
She is a very kind friend, Please help her see your light,
And know everything will be alright. AMEN
-
Amen. FootieRanger. Amen.
Thanks for that verse of scripture reminder.
Slonedeb. Off to sing with my wee ones for today, then over to the recording studio from there. Will carry you in my heart as I skip about from place-to-place.
Sending you strength and encouragement for today's concerns.
Know we hold you in our collective hearts. Continually.
Our silly football game was a "good" one -- for all it's heart. Unfortunately we lost, but so it goes. I'm glad that they were in it till the final minute. Hmmmmmmm. that should be said of all of us:
"She was in it--till the final minute."
Maybe I'll get that on bumper-stickers for all of us!!

Hang in there, Slonedeb. I just read on another thread that there's some breakthrough research that's unfolding as we sit here typing and praying.
Hang in there.
Strength and courage.

Reaching out tonight, Deb. Your pain sounds too intense. Often life itself seems less worth living when in significant pain. I do hope your team includes a pain specialist. Please seek out new, or alterative pain meds, Deb, as no one should suffer. Might your DH call?Thinking of you and your DH tonight. Wishing I could help make it more right for you.Prayers for you as relieving and healing as each raindrop tonight.Tender

Deb, You've really been in my thoughts and prayers of late and especially tonight.
Lord please be with Deb and her family. Lord bless her and give some rest from the pain. She's trusting in you as she rides out this storm, and I pray that you would be there for her in a way that she can feel. Have mercy on her and provide some relief for this dear woman. Bless her husband for his faithfulness and her family. Lord do the work in her family that needs to be done and touch their lives for you through the love of their mother. Help her to be encouraged for the future of her family and hold her in the palm of your hand and comfort her in every way... body, soul, and spirit.
((((Deb))))
