Finished Chemo (I think)

I had 4 rounds of tamox and "red devil" together and my last treatment was dec 5th. My tumor shrunk from a 2.7 to a 1.7 and my surgery consult is on Jan 15th. Onco says I am "an excellent candidate for lumpectomy".

Then he tells me I might have to come back for more chemo after surgery. I may or may not need radiation no matter what surgery I opt for. MRI revealed that it had shrunk and also a bleed from the biopsy around the tumor and in the chest wall.

I dont know what to do. Anyone have suggestions?

Oh, and how long does it take for this chemo to get out of my body completely?

I had different chemo than you....mine was called TCH. I finished on Oct. 28th and I have been feeling almost back to normal except for Neuropathy and gross fingernails. I guess it took about a month and a half. My red blood cell count was low so that is probably why it took longer to feel better. I had a lumpectomy but it is a personal decision. I may regret it if the cancer ever comes back..... Good luck.
