Hey beachies.....sounds like everyone had a good day.
Sharon, I know what you mean about the "middle". Since my surgery
and chemo, I have gained 20 lbs!!! It HAS to come off! We'll start with this...
Then we can take a break and read Checkum's book and eat a good chocolate bar
-
........and this is what I'll look like NEXT year at this time:)
YEAH RIGHT!!
Edit to say: I'd just be happy to have this amount of hair
-
WOWOWOW. Busy day @ the beach!!! Awesome fun.
I spent the entire afternoon at the recording studio (the traditional New Year's Day activity, right??)
We got 5 of my new songs "mixed" which is a step in the right direction -- there are 37 pieces of music/songs/ditties, so this is just the beginning. I have to have this finishe by the 12th, before we can leave for FL!!!!!!!! I will be living at the studio between now and then. YIKES.
Right this minute I need to go deliver a CD to my neighbor across the street..... her children are gonna sing with me. So this will give them a chance to "practise" before we hit the studio together this weekend: PROGRESS!!
Coonie. I just changed my signature line. Anyone who ever wants to order my "stuff" can go to my website. Then as you place the order it will ask for your "promo code"...... if you type in the word: "survivor" -- it will automatically reduce the cost by 50%. My website is: www.rainbowswithinreach.com
Will be back after my trip across the street.

wow thanks Faith. Passed it on to my dd....she's excited. I'm sure she'll find something:)
Hope your dd has a safe trip back to school. Do you cry when she pulls away?
I really don't know how I'm going to handle my dd leaving, even though she will be home
every weekend. She's my best bud, errand runner, girl friday, and just an all around GOOD GIRL!
I'm gonna miss her
booooohooooooo.....sorry to be messing the beach up with salty tears.
Sharon...can you get me something good to eat?
that will make me feel better, I just know it.

ok Ladies Please read the fine print. I think this has been my problem for all these years.
I had no IDEA!!!! Did Ya'll ???

I was dx on 6/6/06 had my surgery in 1/07 and finished chemo 11/07 but on Christmas Eve day was told I have a tumor in my liver and I have to start chemo again 1/5/09 I was really depressed through the christmas holiday but I found this web site and I am feeling more positive again especially seeing the picture of the warm beach. It makes me want to take a holiday somewhere warm. I have been reading the survival stories of 4th stage cancer women and I can't believe how many years you can live a good life. It has been really inspirational to me. I thank all of you for your posts! I see some of you have been members for quite a long time, I bet you make some good friends here. I haven't talked about BC to many people it feels good to talk about it and see people going through the same things I am going through and the same feelings about it. I was feeling like giving up but so many of you are living life to the fullest and are beating this thing or at least living with it with your quaility of life being pretty good for the most part.
Much Love to all of you and Happy New Year
Lynn

ShinyPennyLynn: Welcome to our sunshine-filled, warm beach. You'll love it here. We are a creative bunch of supportive gals (I think we're all women at this point--on this particular thread anyhow) who share nonsense and silliness in the midst of whatever's going on any anyone's world.
This is our first "New Year" as a beach..... so we're committing to motivating one another toward wellness and wholeness -- however we can do that: better choices of food, more exercise, companionship, creativity, goal setting, action of any sort toward "the good life."
Our friend 'dream writer' is stage 4. I have a really great buddy here that goes by Saint and she's been stage 4 for nearly 5 years..... you'll find many other amazing stories, the more you stick around. One word of warning: we are completely ADDICTIVE!! Just ask some of our newer beach combers!!
Here's a pair of flip flops for your walking along with us.
-
Yeah Lyn....pull up a seat, sit back and rest awhile. This will completely ease your mind of all
your troubles. Somtimes, it's even easy to forget the "C" word
-
I am really looking forward to walking among you all and I am loving the beach keep those wonderful pictures coming I can feel the warmth
Lynn
-
Isn't the beach such a lovely place...just soak it up
-

In the Midst of......

Good morning dieting beach babes. Welcome Lynn.
So, last night I ate like The Bad Bad Pig. (It was ham too.) Had horrible indigestion in the middle of the night so thought I'd start off the New Year according to my plan.
Some friends came for a walk with me.
And here is breakfast.....
Then back to the beach...
Mmm, cute butt on that guy.
So Coonie, this morning I/we step and the scales and start from there.
-
But just so Lynn doesn't get the wrong impression of the beach........
-
Great pic of your boys Julz.
-
Nice pics Sharon - of course I prefer the ocean over the scale LOL
-
Hey Julz.
My daughter found a recipe on the internet to form the merengues as little mushrooms - stick the caps on the stems with chocolate.. they were soo cute and so yummy!
-
Coonie..
LMAO - OK I am in the huddle!
-
-
BRRRRR cold at the beach today!
-
I need to fly south where you guys are excercizing...
