Taxotere?

Hi it's me again.

I have yet another question! I had IDC stage 1, grade 3, 0 nodes, ER/PR - Her2+++, treatment was 4 A/C followed by 6 Taxol, 32 rads + 1 year Herceptin. have been doing a lot of reading and noticed that many women with similar diagnosis took Taxotere, I understood that women who were ER/PR- would not take this, can anyone fill me in.

My cancer was ER/PR negative...and I took taxotere. (and FEC and Herceptin)

I think that the 2 taxanes are very similar. Sometimes, it seems that certain facilities provide taxol and others provide taxotere.

my cancer was also ER/PR- and I took taxotere. Both taxotere and taxol are in the same family, I was told one was newer and supposedly cause less side effects. I would ask your doctor if you are concerned.

I am having Taxotere and I am ER/PR- HER2+. I am also on Carboplatin and Herceptin.

I'm the negatives also.....My treatment is Taxotere and Cytoxan....

One thing that my oncologist had to look at is that I do take high blood pressure medication. So she made her decission for me to take taxotere based on this.

I was ER/PR- and I did 4 taxol after 4 A/C and before the year of herceptin.
