Oh, this a wonderful thread! Love seeing your families & furkids, too!
This is me pre-dx:
And me last week, post slab-ectomy, post rads, the day after a BC fundraiser where all of us survivors were given pink feather boas! I'd just come back from dropping off paperwork at the office, where I proudly modelled my boa. Goes great with pea-soup green, don't it??
And my furkids. the black Persian is Jett ("that's Mr. Jett to you"):
And my Himalayan, Chloe, looking sooooo elegant:
And Foxy, who is half Chow/half Husky. He was wet, smelly & sandy here, so naturally, he was also ecstatic:
-
wow...what a beautiful smile and love the pics of your fur babies. I said this in another thread, but I'll say it here as well. I went to your website and looked at your photos. They are breathtaking. You are so talented, KAK!
Michele, what a great tattoo!
-
Ditto what gsg said!
And I love that Foxy was all excited because he was wet & smelly! Dogs- ya gotta love them.
Ill have to go check out your website.

Emelee - Awwwwwwww.......... he's adorable! (I have a cousin named Brett...it's not that common of a name.)
Meeshell - Heck what can I say - other than that you are one lucky girl - hanging out in JA in December! Darn... I want to be there. Love the pics... all of them.

I love all the pictures of fur babies! Especially the goldens! Here is my daughter, Portia, with our puppy, Rusty, when he was about four months old.
Here he is with our old man, Buddy.

I'm a newbie to this site and have just been going around to different threads trying to figure out where I might belong and I like the tone of you all. It's not often that we get to smile for no reason. I like your idea of putting a face on the talk. So here goes: Me with hubby and son (10) at my 50th birthday party, pre cancer, not too long ago..... The hair is long gone, but not the smile!!!
-
OMGoodness... too cute... the kids, the dogs, it's so nice to "see" you all! I loved getting new jammies for Christmas!
-
glostagirl - I absolutely love your sentence: "The hair is long gone, but not the smile!!!" That's the spirit!
LauraGTO - So nice to see U again.
Curlylocks - Your pictures always make me smile... I guess your smile is contagious!
To all Happy Holidays 2008!
-
Lilia - thanks... same to you!
-
Oh, more great photos! More fur babies & human babies! Love it.
Listen, ladies, keep a good thought for one of my furbabies. She's 16 & she may be in renal failure, which is common in older kitties. She had a rough few days after Christmas & we see her doc today to find out what's going on. She's the sweetest girl on four feet & I just hate it when one of the furkids gets old. Her name is Chloe & she's been on this thread before.
-
Oh, these pics ARE great.
Farila - you look magnificent!
Curly - your pics are gorgeous. You are beautiful!! Looking good in that bathing suit, girl!
Portia's Mom - Your goldens are lovely. Now what is going on on the deck?!?
Jill - Love the pjs and the kids! Too cute.
Marissa - Brett is a heartbreaker already.
Glostagirl - great looking family!
Kathi - That cat is simply too pretty for words. She looks like a little princess up there.
-
Thanks Raye, you are sweet...
