Anyone else out here a Yooper?
Hi there I was just wondering if anyone else out here is a Yooper. I live in Gladstone and know lots of other survivors but not sure if any are on this site.

Very quiet, but enjoyable.
I don't remember more than one person (may have been you
posting from the U.P. Hope you find more that are closer by, although meeting up with someone from the U.P is most likely a very long drive anyway :O

Hi Sdavis and wishiwere...
I am a yooper from Hancock but currently live in lower Mi... in Commerce Twp. Have you found others from your area? I am new to this site and am looking for support in my area, or any part of Michigan really. I had my biopsy in March, partial mastectomy April 13th, port a cath insertion a week ago Friday and a D&C Friday of this week. That was the worst of all my surgeries. Necessary tho as I have been anemic from my heavy periods. I meet with my oncologist again this week to begin chemo soon.
Be well. We'll get thru this together! hugs, Lori

Not a Yooper, but popping in to say hi.
I know there used to be at least one Yooper that posted on the Michigan Get Togethers thread, but can't remember who it was. sigh.

I'm not a Yooper, but I have friends who live up there and we visit annually. When I am done chemo, I am planning to go up there mid-August. We normally only go in the Fall, but I wanted to get up there earlier this year and enjoy nicer weather.
I love that part of the world! We are visiting St. Ignace and Mackinac Island. :-)
