SloooooooooooooooneDeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeb.
Just love coming back and finding a lengthy chattie post from you.
That's a horrible long time for your daughter to have to bear waiting for her biopsy. Especially to have it drag all throughout the holidays. If it can't be helped, it can't be helped. We'll have to surround her with our prayers and care -- for sanity, in the midst of the unknown, for BOTH of you.
Now I've gotta get a move on it.
Have been sitting here updating my blog..... things have been especially wonderful, of late.
I'll see what "go-gettin' " I can accomplish today. giggle-giggle-as-I-go.

Slonedeb - so sorry your dd has to wait until January, but it will be here before you know it. And....we'll be praying for b9 results too!!! I think patience is something that everyone (especially us ladies) is lacking. I pray that you and your family have a very Merry Christmas and enjoy every minute....every touch, every smell, every voice, every hug. God bless!!!!
-
Slonedeb. Hope that you have a peaceful evening -- which leads to a peaceful night.
Sending up prayers for you and your daughter in the waiting.
Much love.
Be strong. Full of courage.
Ride out the storm.

Oh, how nice to see your posts of late, Deb. My how we missed you when your computer was down. As Faith says, it's wonderful to see you chatty. Try to keep in mind most breast biopsies are benign, and of course I'll add your daughter to my thoughts. I've been working on a personal project, and am sorry I haven't been here as much. Never a day goes by when I don't think of you and smile, Deb. Thanks too to all the Slonerangers for their continuing uplifting words. They certainly help me to know we're a circle of friends here. Merry Christmas, Deb to you and your family.

Morning dear Slonedeb. It's the weekend.
I read your prayer for our dearest Pammy on another thread. Your words were amazing, powerful and uplifting. I want you to know just how much they meant to me. I'm sure that Pam received encouragement from your well spoken prayer. The sentiment brought tears to my eyes.
Please know that we are all here, encouraging you in the same way -- lifting you up.
We weave a network of love around each other. Strengthened over time. Woven tighter thru adversity. We hold one another up.

We're approaching the shortest day of the year, Deb. I think it's tomorrow (Sunday, the 21st). Then the days start getting longer again, which means gradually more daytime light. I always look forward to this day, as then I bring up mental images of flowers, green, bursting bulbs etc. Faith springs eternal, that's what this day brings to mind. I try to remind myself often of these three short words.((Hugs))Tender

hmmmmmmmmmm??? what happened to my post????
I seem to recall wishing you a good night's sleep, Slonedeb.
Thanks to you Tender for reminding me about the 'shortest day' tomorrow. That will bring some warmth to my heart.... and warmth to my fingers, too!
Hugs to each and all.

Slonedeb. Popping in with a big, warm hug and a plate full of iced cookies -- all cut from cookie cutters and iced in the brightest of colors...... with just a little bit of sprinkles & sparkles & spangles to jazz them up even further.
......... and to off-set all of that sugar, maybe a few salted nuts.

What lovely posts, they bring full circle the Reason for the Season. Can't you feel it's getting near, Deb? The wind is calming on the East and the Moon is out tonight: a chilly night will ensue, one where humans and animals take extra cover for warmth, food and sleep. Wise men and women are preparing for a change worldwide, and commoners are returning to their roots and Faith and seeking sustenance inwardly and from fellow families and friends. Self nurturing, intra and inter dependence, family, friends and Faith in ones religion will let us step forward sure-footedly during the difficulties which may lie ahead. Peace for you, dearest Deb.
Saying my prayers tonight for you and all here,
Tender

Good night, sweet Slonedeb. How wonderful to all stand here together, joined in friendship and support......... offering you encouragement.
Take good care of yourself, in every choice that you are able to make on your own behalf.

Morning prayers, hugs and encouragement as I zoom out the door to go spread snow-day-delayed cheer with Santa today...... I think we're on??? Winter weather. What ya gonna do?

Slonedeb. I just love to come on and find a message from you.
So sorry to learn that you have a sore throat. Our little baby bundle of joy has a case of bronchitis and is really having a rough go of it. I keep telling my daugher: "Ride out your storms."
I haven't heard anything from Kbug, but maybe she'll come in with a holiday greeting.
I'll hope and pray that the meds you have will overcome the pain that you're feeling right now.
Take good care, prayer warrior.
We're all gathered round to support you thru the frustrations and agonies at hand.
Enjoy the season. Appreciate each twinkle.

Slonedeb....... starting this very special day with thoughts and prayers for you.
Thanks so much for taking the time and energy to post to us. Even if it seems to you like you're 'saying the same things' it is truly a gift to hear from you. Your continued presence among us is one of the most amazing presents of all.
You can list every ache and pain and that would bless us further -- to know that you walk on, despite the discomfort, despite the unknowing, despite the pain. You are a true hero, Slonedeb. Your willingness to teach your doctors is a blessing in our crusade against this beast. You continue to teach all of us, SloneRangers in the process. We are better for knowing you.
Much love. Many blessings. Miracles on you, Deb.

Blessings of Christmas to you and yours. Slonedeb, pinch yourself, cuz you're still here, with the opportunity to make new memories!! We're all here to celebrate that fact.

Deb, Kbug is out of hospital. She's posted this on another thread
" I can't believe how much those pain meds knock me out. I just got up around 9 a.m. and was really groggy. DH gave me my first shot. What a dork, we both totally forgot the alcohol wipe first. He wasn't that good about giving it to me either. It is lovenox. A blood thinner.
I am sure it will get easier each day. There is NO pain what so ever when I put weigh on my new hip. Just the muscle pain of where they moved crap around. Holy moly. I wonder if a knife or gunshot wound hurts likes this too. Ouch.
I have a friend here today for several hours. She is leaving in the afternoon. Then my mom will be here until Steve comes home. I won't take my computer to bed because it forces me to get up and sit for a while.
My mind is groggy. Must be all the pain meds. My dreams have been so weird and vivid."
I hope I'm allowed to copy and paste a post. So sorry if it's not the right thing to do. Sharon.
-
Geez, sorry about that last post.........man, I posted a reply from the wrong person. Sheesh, I need a computer course. Or at least learn how to read correctly. SO sorry.

Slonedeb- May God richly bless you and your family on this Christmas Eve 2008---and Christmas Day 2008. Enjoy and savor every minute of it.

Slonedeb. What a blessing to have you in our midst.

And as Tender just said, blessings to each and every SloneRanger who's ever read-along or posted here among us.
