Another board I visit is having a "virtual potluck" holiday party. Whaddaya say, ladies? Just list here what sort of yummy goodness you'd bring to the party.

I'll bring some homemade yeast rolls, sausage stuffed mushrooms, and sweet & sour meatballs.

No extra holiday calories to worry about and no cleanup....my kind of party!

I will bring the imported caviar and the Dom Perignon. The hell with cost! It's the holidays and it is time to celebrate with my sisters so I am going all out. How much should I bring?

Oh, and I thought that maybe everyone could use a little bling too. I am feeling very generous this year. Diamond studded bras for everyone! Stuff em if you have to!

Turkey, gravy, dressing, cranberries, mashed potatoes, squash, carrots, pumpkin pie, and lots of chocolate.  I found an eggnog cheesecake recipe I have been meaning to cook this year too.

I'll bring sweet potato casserole (a Southern recipe, more like a dessert) plus wild rice & pecans (a Northern/hybrid recipe).

    When do we eat?

Otter, I LOVE sweet potato casserole!  I made it for Thanksgiving...tried to combine two recipes and use the microwave, 'cuz the oven was full - yuk!!  It was like dark brown paste.  Can you post your recipe?  I'd love to make  up to my poor family for serving them my awful dish.Frown

Breaded oysters fried in butter - yum! A Christmas Eve tradition in my family growing up - but if I made it for my own kids, they'd do something revolting with them, I'm sure.

I want to sit next to IsabellaWink

Uh-oh....I hope she doesn't bring that giant butter sculpture of herself! LOL  Ms. Paula can be credited for getting my fat, lazy, post-op butt out of bed...watching her cook and enjoy it so much got me up and into the kitchen when I didn't feel like doing anything.

Yikes! I know it is the holidays, but I can't someone bring something healthy?? I do not intend to go off my bc prevention diet so if somebody doesn't bring something that has no sugar, gluten, etc.I won't be able to come.  I am not trying to be a party pooper, but if I fall off the wagon now, I may not be able to get back on, so I plan to keep eating my fruits and veggies. If  I don't come, you all will not be getting that Dom and caviar that I promised to bring, or the diamond studded bras!
