Norm. We're home from our road trip.... the kids had a 'surprise' birthday cake & celebration for me..... they really did surprise me.
I've got three school visits this week and then a big meeting at the end of the week. Lot's going on here. Will be thinking of you, as I come and go.
take good care of yourself.

Well,I've come to the conclusion that if I don't start following through with thing's I"ll never get anywhere.I went to my doctor on friday,my blood pressure is too high(189 over 97)so the pills has to be increased. He also suggested that the smoking wasn"t doing me any good(big surprise). Not enough exercise and bad eating habit's and the stress I put on myself,I'm sure have something to do with it also.
So I've set a date Jan.15/09.By that date I will be in the lower mainland. Smoke free for 22 day's(i'm quitting DEC.24 at midnight). Not sure where yet,I'm thinking maybe Chiluwack or Abottford.Right after Christmas I'll head down and get an apartment or condo lease for 6 months until I figure out where I want to make my permanent home.As hard as will be for me to leave here,I know that staying here will surely be my demise. There's too many empty hour's,too many memories and heartaches.I'm not running away from problem's,rather walking into a new beginning(or at least trying to)I'm not sure how Sara feel's about it,but Ed understand's which will make it a little easier on me....(and it's only a 52 minute trip by plane for visit's)My sister in toronto to wants me to move there,my brother in oshawa thinks I should move back home(with GM going down the tubes?)besides its too far away from my grandchildren...
Bottom line I have to do what I think is best for ME.I've been talking about moving for too long,it's time to sh..t or get off the pot so to speak.Besides,I'm only going to lease for awhile til I get my mind straight, then I'll buy my home.
Thank's to all of your prayer's and comforting word's of encouragement over the last year I can see a light of hope, its a small light but its a LIGHT....and if I stay where I'm at it won't get any brighter....one step at a time.
Thank you ALL for getting me through this past year!Your friendship and love has given me strengh and courage to go on.............
MAY GOD BLESS YOU ............

Norm,
I really am very pleased to read your last post. You sound like you are making good decisions for yourself. We know that a person can never really run away from their problems, but a change of scenery can help with moving forward in your life and continuing on to do whatever you were put on this earth to do. I wish you the best of luck, peace, and continuing cyber hugs. Please keep talking with us and letting us know how you are.
Best wishes to you!!!

One step at a time Norman, and it seems you've actually been doing just that! I'm really glad to hear that first off you went to the Dr. Great move seeing as your blood pressure is a tad high. As for the physical move, you will decide on the right place for you. And hey, if you do move and find it's not where you want to be.......well you move again. Although I have to say having just moved, I wouldn't want to do it too often
. Norman, I hope that you will be able to stay in touch with us and even if you aren't able to, you will always be in my thoughts and prayers.Sharon

NORMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.
Happy, doesn't even get in the ballpark to describe my feelings over reading your post above.
Over-joyed, enthused, delighted, tingling, amused, are in the right direction.
Yes. You've got to 'save' yourself.
We've talked about the cigs, and gave you that crutch for the first phase of adapting..... and it's time to move on. I'll be your cyber-exercise buddy, as that's gotta become a higher priority for me, too. Let's encourage one another.
I think moving is filled with possibilities. YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
We're here for you, buddie. Let us know what you want. We can nag, if that's what you need. LOL. Or we can just keep praying and 'talking' and pushing you toward living.
gotta run. music fun.
it's a different school for children with challenges. always so humbling to spend a day with others who are TRULY in-need. i'll do my best. you'll be looking over my shoulder, i'm sure.
-
Right there with you Faith. WHOHOO, NORM!!!!! on taking the first step...making the decision!!!!
I'm just checking in quick before taking off to work. A busy weekend with baking lots and Christmas parties, I'm pooped and have another week to get through before Winter Break.
Thinking of you all...and Joy....a special wish for you my friend as you recover from you recent surgery...I know you won't be posting, but the wishes are on their way to wrap you in gentle hugs.

I keep you and your angels in my heart and i pray for you.
