Technology revolt

Okay, I cannot afford to really revolt against technology, but I would like to, instead of always trying to make something new work.  Latest is my sweet new camera which needs the drivers loaded before I can test it.  That means moving furniture and disconnecting the old camera cable (which I still want to be able to use - another problem) because the booklet says you can only have one connected at a time.  Also, try not to use a USB hub because the camera might not work properly.  Well, duh, I have no choice.  Then, I have to load the drivers/programs?  I don't WANT to use their program; I use Photoshop.  Arrrrggghhhhhh!

Are there any kindred spirits out there that can commiserate?  Can we help each other out?

    Tina,

I entirely commisterate!  (What kind of camera did you get?)Smile

Before I did all of that (since I use Photoshop too), I'd take some pictures, pull the card out of the camera, and upload using a USB "jump drive."  If all of that works, to heck w/ their drivers/programs.

If you don't have a jump drive, they're readily available at most camera stores.  Sometimes you can even get one "free" with a card...so if you're thinking of getting another card and need a jump drive, check around.

     HTH,

    LisaAlissa
