less than a year from chemo...Breast Cancer Sucks

My left side expander exchange scheduled for Dec 15th.  Saw RAD onc today for my 6 mo follow up and he felt something suspicious in the right breast.  He feels it's nothing but has ordered an ultrasound.

My brain is telling me that after 6 months of chemo, 9 months of Hercepin followed by Arimidex that there is NO way I have BC again. My body is just now recovered from the past 18 months.  But my heart is telling me to just have the damn thing taken off when they do my exchange on the left.

Freaking out!  Breast Cancer Sucks!

    Make sure you get it checked out. Don't let your doc blow it off. If it is back you want it out.

    I had my second cancer blown off for over a year before I got a correct dx and was able to take action- but not before it had grown and spread to 4 nodes.

    Good luck, I hope it is nothing- just be sure.

    Dragonfly: God Bless You. I'd guess if I was in your shoes my thoughts would be: "find out one way or another as quickly as possible. Then make plans, if needed."

    The waiting/wondering is the worst part, as you now know. Find out it's NOTHING, and then you can move on. Hugs and prayers for you ...
