lumps in breast after surgery

I had a lumpectomy late July. They removed 19 lymph  nodes. Just lately  my breast feels  like lumps near under my arms around my incision. My arm and breast feel numb when they touch each other. I wonder if this has something to do with lymphedma? I have chemo Monday and will have it check. Has anyone had this? Thanks, Dee

    Hi Dee, I haven't had the lumps, but have had numbness in the underarm area that comes and goes.  But I only had 5 lymph nodes removed.  It sounds like lymphedema to me.  Did they give you any exercises to do post-lumpectomy to increase the mobility in the area?  I found those really helped me.

    Yes they did give me some exercises and they are helpfull. I had stopped because I was doing fine, but will start doing them again. Thanks, Dee
