Anyone have any experience with posterior biopsy?

This "thing" is clear back near my chest wall.  They could barely get the clip on the mammogram because it was so hard to get my boob far enough away from my chest and into the compression paddles.  Any thoughts and/or experiences are appreciated.

Kimber--they really had to struggle with my stereotactic core biopsy and my wire localization due to my area of calcifications being so far back--way up into the armpit--but eventually got the spot after an hour or more or trying.  Said they normally take 3 to 5 "cores" of tissue--told me they took 11----I told them  "take more if you need to, so I don't have to go thru this again!" I'm so sorry you are facing this ordeal again.  I'm praying you get good results soon.

A friend of a collegue had a wire-localized mammo-guided biopsy. It was right next to her chest wall.  I think they had to get a sample of her chest muscle too.

Her biopsy ended up completely normal (with no atypical cells or anything like that.)

I know this is awful to get through.   Hang in there.
