Are we on for this weekend??
:LisaSDCA...we want to work around your schedule...what would work best for you??
-
I think we could be on for a BCO lunch! I'm seeing my onc at three this afternoon - in San Marcos! Not like the 7 min. down the hill drive to Zion! If we don't set up scans and so forth for the weekend (yes, they do them nights and Sat. at the main hospital) I could see us getting together this weekend. Where?
-
How about somewhere close to you Lisa...like Adams Ave. ..
-
LisaSDCA-You name the time, the date and the place. Whatever works for you.
-
Space cadet here didn't even know about this weekend (not a problem though) - yeah Lisa - whatever is best for you.
-
I'm in --Sat or Sun---doesn't make a difference to me..... BTW Liz---forgot where I saw your post of your pics but those beautiful colored "things" are all in the cabbage family!

Hi Ladies,
I live in Poway and would love to meet with you all. If you are meeting this weekend (or whenever) could you please let me know the details?
Thanks, Jeanne
-
Oh-kaay. That trip to San Marcos really made me appreciate the drive you all make from North County every time we gather! So would it be wiser to maybe meet in Mira Mesa or the equivalent coastal location? That seems about equidistant north to south. There's a big Edward's Cinema shopping center right by the freeway and I think I saw a Panera Bakery/Cafe. There's also one on Carmel Mountain Road. Or of course we could come on down to Adams Ave.!
I'm going to have my consult up in LA for the gamma knife early on Friday, so I probably will go spend the night Thursday. I have a tentative lunch after church on Sunday. So that leaves Saturday. Does it matter when - I mean like a brunch or lunch? BMD are you showing houses?
I'm no good with decsions these days - DAIN BRAMAGED!
Lisa
-
Lots of restaurants by that Mira Mesa Shopping Center -- and Edward's Theater Complex. Mimi's, South of the Border, Pat & Oscars, Islands, Buca de Beppo. Mimi's would probably be the best for conversation.
-
Saturday sounds great to me. Anytime, anyplace. SoCal, Shirlann, BMD, everyone else?
Lisa, that's how I feel when I drive to Zion ... quite a trek across our county. I am anxious to hear what you find out on Friday. And of course, am looking forward to seeing you and everyone else that can make it on Sat.
My thoughts and prayers are with you everyday, Lisa.

Last week I ate at an excellent casual Japanese Restaurant, Mr. Wasabi, there at 9379 Mira Mesa Blvd by I-15...and in the same building is an Italian place...very casual Capriccio's ...
here is the link for the Japanese place menu..at least part of it

Saturday is fine. I don't know that area at all, so I'm useless.
-
What time Saturday? I am showing houses on Sunday right now but you never know what is going to come up tomorrow. Just set the time and I will try to be there.
-
Does Japanese food sound good? I notice it has an extensive menu besides sushi. But what are their hours on Sat.? Jeanne has a good point, in that quiet conversation (or at least not yelling to be heard), is an asset. Shirl hasn't gone on one of her trips yet?
Lisa
-
of course we also don't want a place that is too quiet so we're afraid to make noise!
-
Hey,
I'll drive Brenda if you want to come to my house-----anyone else is welcome---oh---by the way---talked to my surgeon tonight and she said she finally got the cytology report on the cyst and it was nothing-----so WOHOO for me---I feel lucky tonight.
Had one of my last sessions with the girl who has been working on the breast lymphodema with me and there was another girl there and BOY did she get INTO the seroma and showed me how/what I need to do to get rid of this thing---pretty amazing stuff.......
So where and when on Sat---I'm NO good on picking someplace down that way---I'm lucky to know No. County!!!

Sylvia-I may not make it this time but I will call you.
I don't want to be a pain but I need a time if I am going to show up Saturday. This is really short notice to get a sitter and I don't want to pay for extra time.
-
Aw heck - how about we do Mimi's Cafe at 11 am Saturday? That will give us a chunk of the afternoon to sell houses, shop, nap. They've got a varied menu and veggie-friendly selections, too. There's always the Dessert Option!
And they've even got a Smore's Concoction, so that means you can bring the boys! We/they managed just fine last time (with only minor bribery
).

Hi All,
I will be at Mimi's, or anywhere else the group chooses, at whatever time is final. I have absolutely no preference, so am not going to chime in with opinions. I am just looking forward to seeing everyone. I am looking forward to it!

sounds like a plan..
I will be there....
-
Well, coo!!
-
I might be just a bit later than 11--I already had a 9 am appt----so I'll be there before 11:30 for sure---depending on the traffic!!
S
-
Never mind! I changed my appt to 1:30---so I'll be there at 11----if i can find it----do not know that area at all---will google it!

Sylvia - great news
see you guys on Saturday.
-
I had Friday on the brain. Sorry I was thinking I only had till tomorrow to schedule this. 11:00 sounds good but I will confirm tomorrow. I don't know if I want to bring the kiddos. Lets see babysitter vs. meals for them. We'll see.
-
Sounds like Mimi's is the place at 11:00 am. I look forward to meeting you all there.
Silvia - the restaurant is just off I-15 at Mira Mesa Blvd. You want to go east after you exit the off-ramp and continue for a block or so until you see Mimi's. You will either have to turn left or make a U-turn to get to the parking lot.
-
ok--so Brenda --wanna ride or no?
-
Sylvia-If I go I would have to bring the boys so I will drive myself. I am still contemplating bringing them along. I would rather not but I don't want to miss you guys. Time to charge up the DX games. I can sit them at another table if they agree to play nice.
Jeanne-I am looking forward to meeting you. It is always great when new people join in the fun.
It looks like 7 if I don't come and 10 if I do. I don't know if Mimi's takes reservations but I would think with that many people they would.
-
Brenda, please don't let the lack of a sitter keep you away! Even if the guys can only last for an hour, we need each other!
SoCal - can you just send an informational email to your master list, in case there is someone else who hasn't checked in? Like Shirlanne? I'd appreciate it - you handle details so well. And uhm, I'm not real strong on that these days.
I have just returned from my overnight stay in LA w/ the radiation oncologists, so I'll catch you up then.
Lisa

Lisa...I sent out the email....if someone doesn't get it please send me a pm with a better
email address...
Lisa..do you need a ride??
You are right on my way up the 15...
