Desperate housewives/Brothers and Sisters fans
I love these two shows, but DH is not doing it for me so far this year. Not sure I like the 5 year jump.
Brothers and Sisters seems to be getting my vote as best on Sunday night.
What is your opinion?Comments

Housewives has been a "Must see" show since it first started. The 5 year jump is a little hard to accept, but will continue to watch.

Hey Mary Lou,
I don't like the five yr jump at all, I have only been half watching and half not, while doing other things..I'm hping this is all a dream of one of the ladies...Kind of like the Dallas thing. Maybe it will only last a few episodes..Brothers and Sisters seems like it is moving in a better direction this season...How many kids is William going to have by the end of the season???? I could do without all of the yelling over each other, every show, but I guess that is what makes it seem like a real family..LOL ...Still looking for the really good show to watch this season. I'll just have to stick to Two and a Half Men, I love that show, not too much to think about, just enjoy a good laugh.. Klynn

Yes, I agree the jump is to far fetched Tap. I also just half listen. Brothers and sisters is still my pick. And I love 2 and 1/2 men Klynn.

Is anyone else a fan?

Hey ML, I don't know if I am a fan of the jump-I think that Tom and Lynette's twins are kinda dorky and rather annoying.
I also don't like the Susan and Mike splitting up thing.
I'm fascinated with Gabrielle's storyline, think her giant Princess daughter is hilarious, and thought the "bully" storyline was funny.
I'm also fascinated with Edie's new hubby-I wanna know what's up with him.
I am intrigued by the new Brie/Orson storyline, how his "control-freak" is starting to surface again (isn't that how he was before he met Brie?").
I'm ashamed to say I never watched "Brothers and Sisters," although I was just telling Greg that I wish I did. Kinda like Dancing With The Stars-I would love that show, but it's just not on at a good time for us.
-
LOL, I always thought the twins were annoying.... This week was really pretty funny....and brothers and sisters is taking another turn. Wish you watched that one Deb.
-
I love brothers and sisters. Though I'd rather watch Cold Case beforehand (if it was ever shown on time because of late running football games), I've been watching housewives/
Which brother or sister do you guys best identify with.\?
Which desperate housewife or husband?
Fo bros and sisters I identify with Rebecca and for housewives--- I used to think Susan until this year. Now not so sure.
-
Housewives ~ I would be more like the older lady, can't think of her name. I always feel when something isn't right.
Brothers and Sisters ~ I would be the Mom, ( Sally Fields ) Nora. The one who has to fix everything.
-
her name is Karen... I can't remember her last name. I love her. did you know lily tomlin will be playing her sister in an upcoming episode, which is interesting because lily replaced the same actress who was president Bartlett's secretary in the west wing~ I love lily!
-
Mrs. Karen McClusky! She's great.
-
McClusky, I couldn't think of it. Thanks whoop!
-
Boy tonight was good on both shows.
I have a question, the lady that is the partner with Bree? What happened to her daughter, why is she gone? I know she divorced, but why? I missed that part somehow.
Fill me in on the dirt....
-
Just saw this thread Mary Lou, thanks!! I love both shows!! Esp. brothers & sisters. Not too fond of DH 5 year leap either. I was sick last night, and I missed both shows!! I will have to play catch up! I am not sure why Catherine's daughter is not on the show this season.
This will be fun to talk about the shows from week to week. Do you think they will go back and fill us in on the last 5 yrs? I just can't get into Gabby the way they have her now! I used to love to watch, just to see how incredible she looked!
Thanks again..
Lisa

Lisa, I think Gabby will pop back when she goes away with her hubbie. I won't give it away...but last night took some turns for sure. BIG TURNS
And B&S was really good too!

I feel like DH is kind of "jumping the shark" with several storylines. Dave (the criminally insane hubby to Edie) is about the only storyline I'm not annoyed with. Oh, actually Gabby's storyline with crazy rich lady was pretty good tonight!
-
We definitely agree with you on the Bree sotry. I think the Edie and Dave story will really start to come through next week based upon what I could surmise from the previews of next week's show. I love Gabby's story and I now can see how they will get back on track although I wish Carlos would get his sight back soon. That's gotta happen, right?
-
I do hope he will be able to see soon, I don't like that part at all. Did you know that Susan's boyfriend has been in a accident from a fall?( Real life ) Wonder if they will do something with that story line?
-
Oh, I know-he was in a very serious accident! Is he okay now?
I kinda like Carlos's storyline with the blindness. Gabby is making some great one-liners on that (You're so lucky, blind sex is the BEST!). I cracked up when he was talking about how there was no Santa and mistakenly said it in front of Juanita's little friend. Hilarious stuff!
Susan's storyline is just crap this season. Yuck.
Brie's story is just kinda dorky this season, and I feel like they keep missing some good potential (the sex on the table story, having Andrew beat up the kid who stole the tape). I just hate Orson this season, and don't understand why she is so passive about his insanity.
Ahhhh....insanity.....the Dave story is GOOD! I am coming back each week for that one alone!
EDIT TO ADD: I think that Porter's storyline is just insanely dumb right now, and where the heck are the rest of Tom and Lynette's kids?!?! The other kids from the show, too?! (Julie, Susan's daughter?).
-
I wonder all that stuff to Deb.
The guy who fell is doing better, I saw
him on TV in a wheel chair. Seems he
fell 40 ft. I thought it was a motorcycle wreck.
I must say I'm just not into DH as much
this year at all. But I keep watching
just to see what will happen with Dave.
Brothers and Sisters is much better.
-
It was really moving forward fast tonight on DH.
B&S was pretty good too. Why will they skip a week? Wonder what will be in it's place?
If you know fill me in.
Deb, Susan's daughter was back tonight.
RT53 , I also think Gabby will start to look better now, Carlos may be able to see soon.
