invasive ductile carcenoma

Have any of you had success with alternative medicine with this diagnosis?  A friend of mine has it and her chest is absolutely raw with lesions from shoulders to waist.  She has had a double masectomy and radiation and chemo.  Nothing has done any good.  She is now trying alternative methods.  Right now she is going into a hyperbaric chamber about 2 hours a day and is taking a lot of supplements, the main ones being Poly MVA and angiostop.  If anyone has any suggestions or thoughts I would so appreciate it.

    Aprylb,

you are a good friend...it sounds like your friend has had a difficult time. I know there is a book "Cure Your Cancer" that details alternative therapy, especially used when traditional medicine fails. Some have had great success using"protocel" (I think that is the name). There is a lady in  our town who is using it instead of traditional treatment. She was given very little hope, now I hear she looks great and is doing well. this supplement fights cancer by bringing oxygen to the cell...it also fights other diseases. so you might just do a little research online and I know you can find out more...

God bless you and your friend1

    Amber

    Aprylb:

Does your friend have lesions from the radiation or does she have Inflammatory Breast Cancer?  It sounds like the latter.  There is a new medication called Avastin that has just been approved in the US.   It inhibits the tumors from growing their own blood vessels.  As far as alternative treatments I will private message you... just click on "private message" at the top of your page on the right.  I wish your friend the best.

Hey Katie2u I see your post here with the name of the medicine.  thanks I will check with my friend to see if she has heard of it and also look it up on the internet.  I think that is what Anigiostop is supposed to do with the blood vessels.  It is very expensive - over 200.00 a month.  If the Avastin does the same thing and is aan approved medicine her insurance should pay for it!!!!  Her lesions are caused from the cancer - not from chemo or radiation.  I cannot even explain to you what it looks like - just a raw piece of flesh from her shoulders to her stomach is the best I can do.  My heart hurts for her pain and the pain of her family to see her going through this.

Hi Amber - Yes I believe she has that book.  I will ask her.  It is so encouraging to hear of people who have beat this monster.  I have a facebook page and a group started about her and what is going on.  If anyone would like to see it just msg me and I will give you the details.

    apryib,

I have inflammatory breast cancer also.  Just to let you know Avastin is "not" a stand alone chemo.  You must take with other chemo's.  There are a few ladies on this site has done will with Ixempra or Navelbine (sp?).  I have been on it for six months with no improvement. So it does not work for all of us.  Is she under the care of a really good homeopathic doctor's care also?  Has the hyperbaric helped her at all?  Inflammatory is one of the hardest to treat.  As I have been told more than once.  She needs to be doing multiple treatments at one time if she is doing alternative.  I also do alternative.  Feel free to contact me through PM to discuss.

    Best wishes for her...

    Flalady
