Cheap rebounder should this work ?

Options

Hi Gals,

Since I work in front of the computer all day long decided to utilize and exercise ball instead of the stiff office chair to strengthen my back/abs.

Then I found myself bouncing on it, felt pretty good.. then Ithought.. hmm could this be substituted for the rebounder ? It basically feels like the same thing.

Thoughts .. you rebound junkies ?

oh and I had an unexpected benefit from bouncing. I am kind of depressed had my hyst/oopher 3 weeks ago topped with arimidex really threw me in a loop.

After bouncing on the ball for a couple of minutes I really feel good !

Yoga ball as an antidepressant ?

From the perspcetive of core strength and the lymph system, the bouncing on a exercise ball and mini-tramp are very comparable. Just be careful, of course you know this...the ball is easier to fall off from. My PT said that using the ball for a computer chair is not a good idea, however, as you brain needs to fully engage with core balance issues and doing "brain work" at the same time...not good.

Just take breaks from the computer and bounce on your ball, maybe?

    have fun!

ball bouncing and rebounder are good exercise, great for depression- as is any exercise!  I find it easier on hips and knees, great for when feet hurt.
