Cope with implants

I had bilateral mastectomy with simultaneous reconstruction with saline implants in June.  I will be having one adjusted and the ports removed soon.  I'm wondering if anyone has experience with exercise and stretching and whether that reduces the discomfort of the implants or worsens it.  I think most of the discomfort comes from the ports, but not all.  I have resumed yoga and my flexibility is coming back, but as the weather cools my discomfort is increasing.

I'm 2 years out from the surgery you have had.  I found that I needed to do stretching as well as mild. frequent, exercise, even though there was a bit of discomfort.  In the long run it helps.  My body healed slowly, I understand that is normal.  If you're into yoga, you should do fine.  Just don't overdo it and keep at it.

I did lots of stretching and strengthening through the whole process. Also saw an amazing physical therapist weekly through the process who was able to loosen up the whole area. I had completely full ROM very quickly after both the mastectomy/expander placement (had the ax dissection earlier with the lumpectomy but took my surgeon's mandate at that surgery that I should be able to lie on the floor and put my arm straight out over my head by the time I saw her a week later) and tried it out in the recovery room after the exchange (before the nurse came in and said not to lift my arm!

Exercise, stretching, ROM can only help if you don't do anything crazy.
