You guys look GREAT
I am still so completely bummed I couldnt go
I was at that e-harmony wedding shower... to say it was dull is an understatement- I kept thinking about what was happening in the HTZ while I was eating a tea sandwhich watching someone open up hundreds of wedding presents...
As Beth can attest, I more than made up for it with champagne - she called me when I walked in the door and could "tell"

How about this- for the next one you all come out here to the beach? We have some great places right on the water - Julia I am thinking about Wall's Wharf - I will DEFINITELY buy the first round!!!
I LOVE the pics!
You are all gorgeous.

Hi Jane,
I am so sorry I could not come- I am out of the country on business. We are meeting this Saturday in NJ if you feel like a drive down. Email me and let me know. I do not see Passarretti until April.
Take care
Susan

Glad you liked it, Deb - and glad your first chemo is behind you!

Hey all,
If there ever is another get together in the NYC/Long Island area, I'm in! On March 9th, I wasn't venturing outside the "surgery: before, during and after" thread as I was only 3 weeks post bi-lat mx. I just discovered this thread and saw the pictures. Looks like a great time was had by all.

Hey New Yorkers! and those from New Jersey, Connecticut, and even Eastern PA!
Time to start planning a summer Get Together.

Any ideas?
Maria, I hope you're doing well. I'm looking forward to meeting you at the next gathering.

Isn't it time for another get together. I missed the last one. Was on chemo and was not into doing very much. I am not new to these boards but haven't been on for a while. Cancer is back in lung again. Will have my third lung surgery soon. Will get cutting away until this thing stops growing!!!!!! Jan

Jan,
Thanks for bringing this up- Can we plan one before the holidays?
Jan- I see you are in NJ- maybe we can also plan a NJ Get together!
How about it ladies?

I would love a NJ get together. I live in Montville, NJ. I have been on many get togethers but I have been out of the loop lately. Chemo and surgery have put me on the couch..... still battling the Big C but I feel great now that chemo is done. Jan

If we stay on Long Island..I will look around. I believe the Irish Coffee Pub is a good meeting place. Lands end is really nice but not sure if they do small gathtering. Not sure we can get access to any of the country clubs but I could definately ask - I'm sure if their cal are enpty they would flexilbe. Further East they do the winerys...but be too spread out for a lot of people. I'm just thinking out loud...There a dinner cruise out of the Martha Jefferson (Port Jefferson) I believe there is one out of the city also..Now...that could be fun! Anyone else?
-
I would love to come, I live on the Island and I think a dinner cruise would be alot of fun. I am fairly new to the site and would love to meet all of you. Anything I can do to help plan let me know. I am home for awhile because I have shingles, so could make phone calls etc.
-
FYI: I am probably going to have a party downstairs at Lucky Jack's in NYC's Lower East Side on Wednesday, December 10th from 5:30/6-ish until ??? to celebrate a) getting through treatment b) publishing a book and c) leaving the country in January. I haven't worked out the details yet, but any of you who are in the neighborhood is welcome to come check it out!
-
Congrats on your book, Rock! How exciting! What country are you going to? Will you be back or at least have Internet access to stay in touch while you are away?
Maybe it would be best to wait until after the holidays to try to plan anything. Just a suggestion...
