his EXTENDED family - especially on his father's side. She always knew her father was nutty, but Rosarian had been much more naive about the situation.
-
Or maybe it is because he always PRETENDS he is alone in this world.
-
Rosarian RETURNED to his sister's side.
-
at the conference. He was not going to pass up this opportunity no matter what happens. No stone will be UNTURNED when it comes to his future.
He began to speak and the crowd went wild
-
It was a bit overwhelming. He felt as though he was a rock star - a befeathered Mick Jagger with a lush beak. He was not; however, going to be DETOURED from his assignment. He dug in his heels and continued his talk. Suddenly, he noticed something in the audience. What is that?
-
A big, black suitcase that was ticking was sitting apart from everyone. It was UNTENDED and appearing very ominous.
-
The fate of the crowd DEPENDED on what Rosarian did next.
-
Rosarian knew it wouldn't work out well if he PANDERED to the audience. He didn't want to induce panic in the crowd.
-
All the SLANDERS and libels on his good name and nature depended on this moment. He needed to make the best decision possible and get rid of everyone's preconcieved ideas of what the heck he was all about. He proceeded to .....
-
announce,
"We have potential emergency in the front of the auditorium. Please locate the nearest exit, form lines, and quickly and calmly exit the auditorium. Meet in the parking lot. We have both sitters and STANDERS in the audience. If you are near a person in a wheelchair, please help them exit safely by carrying them out. "
Rosarian was still afraid they would all panic and block the exits, though.
<I hope I never have to do this in reality. That's the best I could come up with.>
-
(Me too, Leaf.)
As everyone was exiting, things were being dropped on the floor. It seemed that a lot of people had brought their BLENDERS with them for some weird reason. Why would anybody be walking around with a blender? Hmm, Rosarian would have to figure this one out since they had nothing to do with his speech.
-
Luckily, he was such a balanced person, and could multitask as easily as anyone. He proceeded to help an elderly man, who was slowly walking with a cane, while also looking at the conference schedule, to figur eout if there was anything related to a blender.
-
Rosarian was in a CEREBRAL mode right now. He did notice they had a contest on the conference schedule. They were going to see who could make the best home-made peanut butter - and that required a blender!
-
With his curiosity satiated, Rosarian waiting for a CLEARING in the hallway before he continued his escape.
-
He could not go any further because there was a GLEAMING object in the doorway. Was it the stripper? his sister? Oh no, his dad the Vulture has entered and he was very wet and shiny.
-
Rosarian groaned to himself. The Vulture was MINGLING with the rest of the crowd. He knew the peanut-butter contestants wouldn't put a ticking time bomb in the audience. He knew the Vulture was a Prime Suspect. He knew it was crucially important to get everyone outside!
-
He knew IGNORING his dad would be the best thing for now, so he did just that as he helped the folks continue to the exits. He found a blender filled with peanut butter and could not resist taking a swipe of it and sneaking it into his mouth. "Wow," he was stunned as the flavor filled his gullet.
-
Luckily it looked like most of the audience was leaving the auditorium in an orderly way. But he could still see glimpses of the Vulture gleaming in the distance. Would he have a confrontation with the Vulture beside the ticking suitcase? He wanted to plan ahead so he wasn't GRASPING at straws. He wanted everyone to be safe.
-
While he was mulling over what to do, someone decided to start a PINGPONG competition. The vulture was the first to compete, leaving Rosarian with no choice but to confront him.
-
As Rosarian was PICKING up his paddle, he saw a pingpong ball bounce into an open peanut-butter filled blender.
-
It was obvious that the ball would be STICKING to anything with peanut butter all over it. So when the blender fell over, the ball...
-
just stopped because it was stuck. Suddenly, the room began STINKING of an acrid smoke. Rosarian really began to panic and take the situation seriously. It was really time to leave and make sure no one is left behind.
-
He began to direct those just STANDING around toward the exits.
-
Enough of CREATING distractions! He needed to get these people out of danger! He remembered to pull the fire alarm.
-
The people started pouring out the door. As they were REACHING the street, a sudden flash of lightning flashed and thunder roared. Rosarian was still inside and so was the vulture. When Rosarian turned to leave, the vulture .........
-
said, "There's no stopping it now. I'm bringing you down with me. Its now REACTING with the weather."
"What?" screamed Rosarian. "What are you talking about?"
-
The vulture started to explain the terrible plan he had hatched. (pun intended) "I have created a volatile mixture of peanut butter that EXTRACTS electricity from the atmosphere when released." The thunder and lightening continued around them as he spoke.
-
"Wait, stop" cried Rosarian, "I cannot see, one of my eyes has a CATARACT in it. Please daddy, do not go forward with your plan" Of course Rosarian was lying but the vulture stopped in his tracks, His little baby has an affliction and he is going to play the hero.
-
The vulture continued, "Maybe we can go down to the CATACOMB and find a cure for your cataract. I have some great connections down there."
-
Meanwhile, the entire city was experiencing a total BLACKOUT.
