wait and see

..As I still have most of my recent recurrent cancer cells on my pectoral muscle (on my masectomy site from 11 years ago), and near collar bone they will wait and see...monitor it.

 I had docetaxol, 7 treatments..and 23 radiations

I live in Canada...west coast....Vancouver

My tumor marker has gone down further...but....

    Wait and see what janinvan? Did they do a new biopsy or Pet Scan? I don't see why you would not move onto chemo if you had a recurrence. You may should get a 2nd opinion.  This does not sound right.

    Jan I agree w/ Flalady, wait for what??????  If you have had a recurrence you should be treated ~ if it has come back, I'm not sure why they would think it would go away on its own?  I might be confused about what has actually been tested/done, but "wait and see" is not exactly a very comforting approach to this disease.

    There is no such thing as WAIT AND SEE.

    I was told to wait and see and then I was blown off and what was tiny turned into a 2.5 cm tumor with 4+ nodes.

    FIGHT LIKE HELL to get treated.
