One down, three to go!
-
2 down 2 to go. Is anyone else watching?
-
3 down 1 to go! This is so exciting for me. There hasn't been a championship in Philly since I moved here in 85! Villanova won the NCAA basketball tourn. that year, but it was before I moved to the area in may.
-
I was in Philly when Villanova won in 85 - and got beaten in th Big 5 Championship by TEMPLE (Hoot!) the next year. Go Owls
But I digress from the subject of this thread. Being a Mets fan, it is kinda hard to cheer for the Phillies right now, Amy, lol, but I'm sure the city of Brotherly Love and Sisterly Affection is on fire in a good way. I hope the Phillies either wrap it up tonight or Tampa takes the next two games so it comes down to a game 7. THAT would be awesome...
And I do truly LOVE the Philly Fanatic!
-
I would love for the phillies to do it tonight so that it can be right here. Did you go to Temple? I have a friend that was there in law school during that time.
-
I'm a Dodgers fan, so wasn't cheering on the Phillies earlier. But now I want them to win. The NL needs some respect!
-
I'm a proud Temple U alumn! HOOT!!
-
You're a hooter!
-
GO PHILLIES!!!!!!!!!!!! Did you hear what they put on the top of the Comcast building?????
-
nooooooooooo what? Not a shirt on the william penn statue! That's a jinx!
-
They put a small statue of billy penn (atleast that is what one of my friends told me), and they are GUARDING it!!! They are trying to cheat the curse! LOL!!
-
roflmao! I just googled it http://www.phillyburbs.com/pb-dyn/news/113-10252008-1610906.html . I was at dick's sporting goods earlier today and they said if the phil's win tonight they're opening up the store right after the game and they'll stay open all night! they usually close at 9:30.
-
After all these years of watching philly teams lose and break hearts, I am afraid to watch! I keep changing the channel!
-
held- I wont watch in the beginning, i'll just switch over every 15 minutes or do to get the score. I'll watch around the 7th inning otherwise I'd have an ulcer.
-
Now I am roflmao! I almost fell on the floor this morning when I found out the pitche hit a homerun last night! I almost feel bad for the rays having to put up with all those crazy philly phans!
PS - I used to be a huge baltimore fan, but it just isn't the same without Cal.
-
Rain rain, go away, come again some other day.
What a disappointment, They should never have played the top of the 6th.... hope we can finish it off tonight.
-
No game tonight. I hope the Rays are getting nice and chilly here in philly with our N'oreaster. The suburbs had snowflurries today, then there are those monsoonal rains and winds...
-
Did you hear the Poconos might get a foot of snow???? How about the hotel situation for the rays? It is stinkin' cold out there tonight!
-
I hope this doesn't mean we're going to have a coooooooooooooooooooold and wet winter. Where in PA are you? I'm in Conshohocken.
-
We did it ! PHILLIESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
-
Did you go to the parade with the other 2 million +? What a mess with the trains, huh? I work in Media, and there were people waiting over two hours for a train. I also know some people who left at 5 am to get there!!!!
I live in West Chester.
-
I watched the parade on TV, If I was 25 years younger I might have gone. I enjoyed it much more from tv than I would have in person. I lived in media for a year when I was in grad school at Widener. I lived by Linville Orchards.
-
I wouldn't have gone at any age!!! LOL! Too many people! I also can't imagine waiting 5 or 6 hours on a sidewalk to watch a parade that lasted less than 2, but that's just me.
-
I hear ya!
