Prayer request for surgery Monday
I'm having a total hysterectomy on Monday (I have BRCA2 gene and my mom died from ovarian cancer.). I already have BC twice (bilateral w/DIEP in 2006). May I ask you members to add me to you prayer list for a successful surgery on Monday (10-27-08), speedy recovery. Thank you so much! BJ

Hello BJ;
I truly wish you the best in your surgery. I can understand why you are making the decision to get this done. Your decision is wise.
Lord; We just ask that you lift BJ up and just give her the reassurance that everything is going to turn out for the good. Lord we ask that she heals nicely with no complications. We know that you are the mighty physican and you are there with her every step of the way. Please Lord guide the surgeons and staff while they are doing the surgery. Place your loving arms around BJ, let her feel the presence over you. Bring a calm peacefulness over her. Comfort her, and let the nurses treat her with the upmost care. Thank you Jesus for BJ, thank you for placing her in your arms. You are an awesome God and so good and loving. We embrace this life you have given us.
We say these things in Jesus name.....Amen!
Blessings; Elizabeth

BJ--I had a total abdominal hysterectomy (everything removed) about 3.5 years ago due to ovarian rupture. Are you having it done laproscopically? I hope so--the recovery is so much easier and quicker. Praying that everything goes well and you have a speedy recovery.

Anne, no, unfortunately, I can't have laproscopic because I had a DIEP/tram abdominal reconstruction when I had my mastectomy and the scar prevents the laproscope camera from going where it needs to go. So . . . my recovery will be longer. Thanks for your prayers!

Thank you all so much!

BJ!!!!!!!!!! You are going to do great girl. You've got my prayers for sure.

I wish I was having it laproscopically. My OB/GYN says that, because of my prior abdominal scar, it would be hard to get the camera acrsos it. I'm going to ask him again in the morning to reconsider.
He claims the traditional way isn't "that much more difficult." URGGG! Stay tuned! I hope to be back home on Weds. and maybe can post at the end of the week. Thanks for all of your prayers - it's really the only thing to get us through these times. -
lizws -- happy to see you again. Thank you, thank you -- I'll do fine. Will be glad when it's all done and over with, though.
-
BJ, You are in my prayers. May God, our heavenly father, hold you safely in his merciful arms and speed your recovery. Hang in there, sweetie,
Hugs,
Cody

Well, all is well!! Came through with flying colors and I feel GREAT (well, not great, but better than aI thought I would). Wish now I could have my post surgical bathroom break. More water, more walking around.
Thanks for the prayers everyone -- once again, the good Lord has protected me and lifted me high!!
