Today is My 3 Year Survivorship
Well ladies today is my 3 year anniversary of surviving bc. I never thought I would reach a point where I would be enjoying life once again after having it turned upside down 3 years ago today.
Life is good and I have reached a point in my life where I am moving beyond this blasted disease.
Big hugs to all those just starting out this journey or dealing with reoccurances....
I would not have made this in one piece without the love of all the women on this board who were there for me in the beginning days when I felt like I was on a sinking ship.

Congratulations Michele,
I just made my one yr! I am so happy life turns around and this disease doesn't consume your every day anymore!
You are so right about this site and how hard it would have been to not have it while gong through this ordeal. The poor women and men before us and the internet. They had it hard!
You should celebrate!

Congratulations!! Besides our survivorship years, I love my birthday even more! Every year is another year with loved ones! I saw your tattoo, it's beautiful!
-
WOW Congratulations......I wish you many many more healthy years ahead. Love the tat.. did you design it? "Hope" it says it all
-
Thanks Ladies!!!
No I didnt design the tattoo, I looked on the internet for different pictures and designs. It is actually the front of a journal book for breast cancer survivors and I had the tattoo artist put in the pink shading of the letters and she made it look 3d looking.

Congratulations Michelle.
I am right there with you as I was diagnosed 3 years ago this September but I consider my anniversary date to be my surgery date which was this week, October 21st. Every year I do the Susan B. Komen walk on or near my anniversary date.
I am happy to hear you are doing well. I find that I am finally starting to worry less about recurrence and move forward with my life.

Karen,
I sent you a pm.

I must have missed this, Michele, so CONGRATULATIONS! I just celebrated my 3 years as well and recall how inspirational you've been these past few years...especially in discussing hair issues. It was great to have someone as obsessed as I was (and am!) with our locks!!
