    Yes, they are wonderful, you can find so many amazing creatures.  I am still hunting some pottery sea glass, have never actually found any of it, just read about it.

    Hello BeachAngels~

    Sad news...my mothers DH  just passed away last night.  They had just been married a year...old high school sweethearts that rekindled their friendship he was diagnosed w/ small cell lung cancer and mets to liver and brain....I am sorry if I am bringing such sad news to our beach....he  donated his body to science then he will be cremated and spread over the ocean....he was a charming positive soul that will be greatly missed.......

    Rick ~ You were the one who only really knew...may you be at peace.  Until we meet again.....

    You may be gone...but never from our mind and heart.....

    High school sweethearts. What an incredible story.

    I wrote this at my Grandmas funeral

    morning beachies-beauties..........

    have strapped on my walking shoes, wish they were flip-flops and i was headed for sand

    keeping each and all in my heart

    ramping up for Sunday's departure for the NY road show. i've never attempted anything quite this involved...... keeping my fingers crossed for good travel mercies. 3 days, 3 cities, hundreds of K teachers sprinkled across the state: whew!

    LUV I am so sorry you are having to go through all this with so much close to your Heart!!! Know as the next few days go bye, You will have your Beach Treasured Friends with you at all times! In Your Heart!  I only wish that I could be with you in person to Give you A Big Hug!  Keeping You, Your Mother & Family in my thoughts & Prayers. That Peace will be with All of You in the coming Hours, Days, & Months. We are Here for the Good times as well as the Sad!

    Lisa I had never seen one & just fell in love with it instantly. Sometimes you see something & it just speaks to you. This DID!

    Spar....Still sleeping rest you need it for the Long weekend.

    Faith....I need to get my Beach but up & Moving today. My son's School has an Anual Turkey Trott. It's like a Fall Fun Run for kids in 4 & 5 grade! One year I was actually in shape enough to run it! I came in 3 erd place for the Adult (women) parents. Maybe next year! After I have time to recoup from my surgery next month!  I will make myself do it! It would be good to see a Grandmother of 1 at age 42! Get up there & HOOF IT! LOL! Have fun on your Great City Tour!!!

    Shrink....it's good to here from you! You will have to post another pic of You & DH from your Honeymoon!!!!!! Pretty please!

    Am going to sit on this pier awhile, then go for a walk on the sand, feeling it cool off my feet and hunt for some sea treasures.

    It's the weekend............. hope that everyone is able to have some nonsense, some giggles, some mirth, a few belly laughs, a warm hug, something decadent to eat, an uplifting email, and a moment's reflection on what is significant.

    Yesterday was glorious for me, in that I made some real progress on all fronts. Got the working CD of the 37 songs to the company that has commissioned it. Worked upstairs for a tad (studio) and did all kinds of grunt/paperwork/junk that always piles up.

    So today, it's get my haircut day (and cover those grannie-grays) and pack for the NY extravaganza..... fly out tomorrow. There's wi-fi in the airport, so I'll plan on a big beachie greeting once I'm thru security.

    LUV: sending you encouragement as you put the puzzle pieces together. I hear how heavy your heart is and I'm concerned for you, in that you've had so much to juggle and contend with recently. We're all here for you. Holding your hand.

    Footie: I know that you depend on our friendships here to give you the fun-factor in your days. Savor Lisa's pictures, Spar's kitties, Julz musical additions and all the joy that comes from seeing our old friends pop-in when they are able to vacation-at-the-beach...... shrink, saint, dream, harley, janny, amy, cheryl, Wingers, Mary Lou, Margo..........

     A crazy wet weekend on my end of the Beach & Hoping the Clouds will clear! But not Likely!

    Faith ~ So true your Words! Sometimes our lives out side of Here take our fun time from here! Sometimes for fun & some times not! When times are hard at our Homes. It is so hard to come on here & be Cheery! I know we don't have to bottle it up & hide it here! But it's not some of us to bogg everyone down with everyday or even family things that don't have anything to do with Breast issues/cancer! 

    I do think of everyone Daily, Even though my time lately has been very little here! I often stop & think how is so & so Today! Just because I can't express it lately doesn't mean it's not there in my Heart thinking of everyone!

    Since this is almost the end of Breast cancer Awareness month....

    Hey there beach buddies.

    Writing Circle started again.... so here is my first piece (I was too late the week before to write).....

    Clomping through the forest, disturbing the birds while their cart is dragged over rough stones and soft mud.  They can't see me, I am the bird.  My voice rings through everything.  My tiny heart, seeks a soul. 

    Time shifts and as it squeezes back, I, the bird am beneath the hot sun.  The land is arid and the air dry.  Small as I am I find refreshment in the cactus. 

    Time shifts again, and I am no longer the bird.  I am fifteen and my mother stands above me yelling.  As tight as her fingers grip my hair is as tight as I feel inside.  I am protecting that which is most precious - me.  She cannot harm me.  She cannot sway the course of my life.  I am beyond the teen held captive by hurting maternal hands.

    I have found myself adrift.  Not quite "something".  Itss peaceful.  But I struggle.  I am not yet ready to be at peace.

    The air comes in and flows out - not enough to keep me alive and full of energy.  Is this where I start to fade like a butterfly in fall?  I sleep dreamless sleep and sleep again.  Not enough breath, not enough air, not enough life.

    I know, I know it is another "heavy" piece.  But I barely remember writing the last paragraph and scared myself reading it to the group.  Great way to get several minutes of silence - shock them.
