My heart goes out to for so many reasons, you being young women diagnosed with this, going through the surgeries and all that it entails, and now to find out you are pregnant. thats a lot for any women to deal with especially a young women. I'm a spiritual women and I trust in believe in God for all things even when it seems bad and getting worse. He promised he wouldnt give us more than what we can handle I'm going to trust him that he will be there for you and you trust him as well. I am a little concerned and agree with Wishiwere that the preop nurse didn't give you pregancy/blood test before your surgery. I'm 36 dx with ILC have had 3 surgeries in the last 4 months and each time my preop nurse and or anesthesiologist has done blood work I asked her what type of test are they performing she told me a pregancy test even though i told her there was no chance i was pregnant but she said its required. Did they do any type of blood test or during preop ask if there is any chance you could be pregnant? I'm going to pray that everything works out for you. Just put it in God's hands and when you go see your dr's ask what type of test they are doing especially if they take blood and just general questions especially since you are concerned about your scar and how it will effect your pregnancy. I know it seems overwhelming to you but please know we are praying for you and God will see you through

Hi Jade,
A friend had BC and had a mastectomy and TRAM (or DIEP, I forget). She then found out she was pregnant. She even had to have some chemo while pregnant. Her son is 4 now and just fine!

Hi,...
Your doctor will tell you the same thing. as long as you do don't continue these activities while you are pregnant, as they can cause health problems for the baby! also if you are or were a smoker, your doctor will give you helpful ways to stop smoking, every time I am pregnant, I follow this same one. you start with the normal amount you smoke (pack a day for me) then everyday, one less, one less until there are none. It is easier to get the nicotine out of your system slowly rather then cold turkey as your body will crave it more. and my doctor recommended it, it is better to stop slow then not to stop at all!
