How about a new story????
The last 3 nights a storyline keeps going through my head, if I am going to get any sleep I am going to have to start this story and may it go where it may. OK, here goes.
My name is Spar, I live on Small Island, yes that is the name of it, it is 15 miles long and 10 miles wide. It has beautiful sandy beaches on 3 sides but the west end is a wall of granite. Julz is my best friend here, we grew up together and unlikely people for friends. She lives on the east end in a mansion with 16 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms. She is from "old money". My other friend Luv lives close to the east end but not on the beach, she is "new money" I live closest to the west end as I am very poor and live in a little 2 room cottage. No one lives on the west end because it is a jungle and reported to be haunted. We tried to walk through it once but after the first 10 feet there is a horrible smell, 10 more feet and the temp goes from 80 to below 30, 10 more feet and the plants start growing very quickly and wrapping around you ankles, needless to say we ran screaming all the way back. The actual town is in the center of the island, there are some nice resturants, clothing stores, and a general store which is also the post office. No tourist come here because no one has commercialized on us but there is a big developer wanting to buy the haunted west end for 10 million from Julz's father. He owns it and has never done anything with it. When we ask why not, he just shrugs his shoulders. In my poor part of town we have a nice little bar called Tiki bar, it has strung lanterns outside and is very casual. On Julz's part of town they have the country club and of course she can get her friends end so we have the best of both world. We have invited our friends from college to come spend the whole summer with us. Julz will put them up in her huge house. Hopefully Harley, lv2cmp, MissS, Celia, and NBN can join us. NBN parents named her naughty but we call her NBN since she is naughty by nature. We invited a few others and hope everyone can come. We will see how this summer plays out, it should be quite interesting when we all get together.

Harley can't wait to see her friends Spar, Luv, and Julz. It seems that it's been eons since she saw them, when they had such fun adventures all over the place!!
Harley would like to spend alot of time on this island, because it sounds so tropical, and peaceful, and she wants to thank her good friend Spar for inviting her.
She can't wait to see who else will turn up on the island, or what will happen next.

celia is excited to see all of her college friends again--spar, julz, harley, luv, and nbn. celia knows that they will all have a lot of fun like they always did at school. In fact, their adventures back then were usually so outrageous that they often made an appearance in the school's newspaper, and then in the Dean's Office. We will plan our activities for this summer and we will have a whole island to use. This is gonna be good!!

Spar met Harley and Celia on the beach. Julz was busy at her country club so I took them to the tiki beach bar, we had crab legs just thrown on the newspaper on the table, they also threw some potatoes and carrots incase we wanted a little vegie in there. We were getting shining from all the melted butter and crab legs. Getting all slick and shiney brought the conversation around to all the trouble NBN use to get us into. One time we tied sheets together and snuck out the dorm window to smoke funny cigs under the tree, the only thing was we all climbed down but we didn't have enough arm strength to pull ourselves up. We ended up having to knock on the door and got caught sneaking out. We got demerits and were put on garbage duty for a month. Talking about slick and shiney, she was always talking something about melted butter on a shower curtain and what fun it could be laying it on the floor. She had a little more experience than the rest of us so we took her for her word. Can't wait for Julz to get out of that stupid rich little girls club and come have some fun with real people.......

In the Tiki Bar celia was thinking that maybe we should all go to the country club to "liberate" julz!! celia asked spar, harley, and luv what they think about this idea. Celia knew it would be best to wait for nbn to get here before we make any attempt to rescue julz because nbn is so-o-o brave and fearless.
celia also wondered where lv2cmp and missS and bikerjan were.

We would have to sneak in the back way somehow because you have to show your member card to get in at the club. She better come soon or we will get a bullhorn and stand outside her poor little rich girl club and call for her. Wouldn't that be an embarrasment!
LOL, come out come out whereever you are julz, quit dancing cheek to cheek with the rich boys.

Just then Julz Breezed in the Tiki Bar with her Hair Flying all over the place & her Upper Crusty facade a little off Kilter! The Tikiettes that where already there couldn't believe this was Julz, she just never had a Hair out of place. Celia, Harley & LUV just stared. As Spar asked the ? everyone was wondering! What Happend to You? Julz replied that she had been at another function at the Club when some "Ichy" Club woman had had one too many Martini's & started a fight! It seems the "Itchy" ones DH was getting a little too frisky with one of the other Club Women & "Itchy" decided to let her Have It with Her Leathal Nails. Julz told the Tikiettes how she stepped in to help "The Other Woman" because She didn't want "Itchies" DH (dirty Hubby) Slobbering on her! Julz said, " The Club men finally had to step in & break it up cause "Itchy" was pulling my Hair too much & I couldn't get a hand on her. I'm just too Short to take on "Itchies" biggness & Bullying. Personally I just think she has it in for me cause I'm Short & Perky! Jeez She Needs to get over Herself!....... Secretly Julz Loved Coming to the Tiki to let it all hang out. Having everyone watch every step you make because you come from Old Money was very tiring. It was very liberating to be what ever you wanted at the Tiki & be accepted! NO ?'s Asked! .....After a couble of sips of her Drink Julz finally could breathe & settle herself & ask where Iv2camp, MissS, & BikerJan were.......

Spar said hopefully they will arrive tomorrow. So glad your parents are out of the country all summer and you can put us all up at your place. Those marble floors and double staircases are beautiful but give me my shack, beach, and tiki bar and hey, I am comfortable. Celia suggested we get our brush out and tone down Julz hair a little. Harley told Julz, see if you stay out of those ritzy places you don't have to worry about stuff like that. Of course the club is good for the swimming pool and golfing but hey for a drink and dancing and relaxing tiki can't be beat. When we all get together Spar said she would love another go at that haunted jungle just to see if it is still for real. Spar asked Julz do you think your dad is going to sell it? Julz didn't know but had heard her dad talking about them trying to clear the jungle and put up highrise hotels and make this a more touristy place which no one wanted on the island so who knows. It is all up in the air.

I sure don't know where the rest of your writing crew ended up tonight, but I DO know that the gas gage on my wave-runner is grossly inaccurate. I also know that whoever designed these infernal noise makers should have made room for a little paddle when you run out of gas you still have a way to get to shore! Now I just need to find a towel.....

We all heard someone screaming and kept looking, finally Spar got her spy glass and OMG it is AlaskaDeb. We jumped in our everyready canoe and set off to get her and welcome her to the island. We hadn't seen her in so long. We got her to the tiki bar, wrapped her in a towel, sat a mangorita before her. Deb said what is this sissy drink, give me a bud. She ended up drinking both. Hopefully the other girls will be her later. In a couple of days we were all going to try to brave the jungle but not until we are all together, bravery in numbers, right girls?

I finally got the message from the pony express that we were getting together. Sorry I am late but that's what happens when you live in the boonies.
I got busy and made me boat to get here and packed it with plenty of food cause we all know how important food is. I also had the entire back of the boat filled with alcohol for everybody when I got here but uhhhh somebody must have stole it along the way because I don't see it on my boat. I feel certain that I didn't (hic-up) drink it all.
Oh my gosh its Alaska Deb-Glad to hear your vision was doing well enough to tackle the ride over.

Thanks for the canoe ride. I kept seeing things in the water that looked like huge shark fins....I like those in soup, but don't like swimming with the suckers when they are still attached to the teeth.Hey Amy - You know as good as anyone, that when you get to the bottom-line, it is ALWAYS about the snacks! I will go shopping with you to refill the larder.
I need to go for a wander and see who else is showing up....love you guys,,,,

Yea lv2cmp made it to the island, minus the promised alcohol, and she was not feeling no pain. alaskaDeb began to love the margaritas made out of mangos, she is taking to this wonderful weather. Harley ask her are you gonna be brave enough to try the haunted jungle with us? Spar said she was even kind of scared and she lived here her whole life. Maybe Biker will bring her Harley over on the boat with her and she can teach us all to ride and we could have a mini parade staring us. Julz has several 4 wheelers she would let us decorate. Can't wait to see MissS, have missed her so much she use to always wear a helmet when we did dangerous stuff. I wonder if she has outgrown that.

Celia is happy that lv2cmp showed up with or without her supply of alcohol. She told lv2 that there are a few grocery stores on the island where she can replenish her supply. Celia was also very happy to see AlaskaDeb here on the island, because AlaskaDeb loves adventures and loves to laugh like we all do. Celia hopes AlaskaDeb willl stay for our adventure into the jungle part of the island, because we need some brave people to go there with us. Celia told Spar that she loved the Mangorita and is ready for another one. Celia notices that julz is getting quite relaxed after her big fight at the country club. Julz is on her 4th Mangorita and is getting restless and we all know what a loose cannon Julz can be. Ok so when do we leave for the jungle?

Hopefully Luv will be here soon, I wouldn't put it past biker to parachute from a plane, she is always one for drams. Luv may come in on the banana boat. She does love anything with bananas in it. I know MissS will come in calm, unless she has totally changed since those fun filled getting in trouble college days. We can't attempt the jungle until we all are here and go in as a group, we need cameras and from our past experience as children we need either an ax or loper to cut the plants if they start growing up around us, we all need to carry a knife. We have to also remember that the temp drop dramatically we could actually freeze to death inside there so we have to carry a jacket with us.

Oh my goodness, it is MissS and she is not wearing a helmet but upon closer inspection she is carrying it in her hand. We all grabbed her and had a huge group hug and got her a drink. She came in on a delivery boat as a stowaway cause she didn't have the money to rent a boat. We were all teasing her about how brave she had gotten.

ok I think I found enough knives for everyone. This has everything we should need I hope.
We must not forget snacks though because hiking makes us hungry.

Spar ask Harley, do you really think we will make if there long enough to use sleeping bags? I am scared but I will take my backpack and bag if everyone else does. I will not be a chicken. Hey guys do you think we can go in sober, we will need our wits about us.

Biker heard the call from her friends, and was on her way. She is coming in an old WWII bi-plane that doesn't fly very fast. And..........she has brought her Harley with her! Yay! She probably won't get there until tomorrow at this rate. And never fear, Biker is bringing lots of liquid courage!!

Miss S brought 20 pink Kodak Easy Share cameras with her to give to everyone. She also brought 2 gig memory cards so we could all take lots of pictures.
She also brought some liquid refreshments to brighten the mood.
And of course I brought my helmet! with all you crazy gals?
And some water for Harley and the gang!

Yea, we finally got a message from Biker and bless her and MissS for remember the liquid courageand I just knew she still had her security helmet. We will so enjoy those cameras and we will have proof of what goes on in that jungle. We will have a huge group hug, a huge party, Julz wants the country club to show all her snooty friends that she can live on the wild side. Then we need a goodnights sleep and then tackle that haunted jungle. Hopefully Julz will have some information about if her dad is selling the west end or not. We all sat around at the tiki bar enjoying each others company and catching up on the latest news, we were so excited for biker to be coming in tomorrow.

It was so good to see all the women get together & reminisce of days gone by from College. Since Spar was still waiting for Her Good friend biker to show up tomorrow. Julz asked the friends if we could go stay in town near the Tiki Bar at a cozy Inn that was owned by her Father. That way we could indulge in more libations & not have too worry with the mountainous trek back to my Father's Mansion in the Dark. AlaskaD thought that would be a good Idea since the trip to the Island had been quite a trek for her. Julz handed her Cell to Iv2 & asked her to call the Inn & let them know she was coming with 7 friends to stay at least over night! Spar took the keys that Julz gave her so that Celia & her could go out & get the 4 wheelers to drive over to the Inn. After Julz took care of the bill at the Tiki. We all stumbled out to our rides....

Her Harley came in on the grocery boat. Come on Biker Parachute out, there is no landing field here, just a helicopter pad.

FINALLY LUV came too...she had passed out from all those mangoritas...gosh "new money" can buy a lot of drinks LUV was dreamin in ALL sorts.....

Yaaaaaawn!,,,,,I slept SO well last night. I was awoken by some loud grunting animal. I am going to eat some breakfast round up anyone brave enough to help me find the loud growling critter. Wonder if it is edible? Who brought some BBQ sauce?

aaaaaaawwww deb it is just an irish wolfhound, your safe on the island. You were probably dreaming you were back home in alaska with all the bears, We will protect you girl. How about we get Julz, to buy us all breakfast at the cafe? Then we can all discuss exactly what we are doing today.
