Question about Amoena prosthesis styles

Okay, this is a really dumb question.

I was fitted for a prosthesis last Thursday.  (See the thread on fittings for details.)  I ended up buying an Amoena Natura Light 2S "with Comfort +" in a size 2.

I noticed on the Park Mastectomy website tonight that the Amoena Natura Light also comes in "1S" and "3S"; there are also other number/letter combinations, like "2A".  The "2S" I was sold is described on that site as "average fit".  The "1S" is "shallow fit", and the "3S" is "full fit."

From the tiny line drawings at the top of the page in the Amoena section, I have the impression that the difference in "shallow", "average", and "full" is in the fullness in the top of the breast.  I would have guessed that my remaining boob is a "shallow" (it sags quite a bit), and a "1S" might have worked better.

Am I on the right track about those number/letter combinations?

So funny you are asking that question.  I have 2 of the same prosth. (I like to have a back up just in case) and I noticed that one of mine says 2S and one says 1S.  I just noticed this two days ago and I have no idea what it means either.

    Carol,

I answered Otter on another thread. I recently saw an Amoena rep at the Dana Farber boutique and she basically said the same thing Otter saw on the Park Mastectomy website--that the numbers indicate 1-shallow; 2-average; and 3-full. So it's weird that your two forms seem exactly the same. Or maybe the difference is barely noticeable, especially in the smaller-size forms.
