Just wanted to put out the location in case there are some SISTERS in my area who would like to talk, email, or even meet.

    Hi Terry,

    I am just north of Modesto. See that you were dx'd just a few months after me, mine was 12/13/05. Hope things are going well with you - since I'm an old timer (feels good to say that), I don't always get on the boards like I did but just wanted to say hi.

    Hi Terry and Shirley.  I'm currently in Stockton - but moving to Riverbank in a few weeks.  I lived in Modesto up until 93 (from 82).   I'm looking forward to making some new friends down there, and reconnecting with some old friends.

    I would love to meet with you also! I have lived in Modesto since 1969.....so I have been here for awhile. I will email you my private email address......but if you would like to chat using breastcancer.org's private email messages...that would be fine also.

    I noticed you joing August 2006.......I joined in 2006 also....Shirley beat us by a 1/2 year. I am so glad that my message is making contact with some local sisters.

    Hi gymgirl!

     I can remember when we lived up in Sonora - we'd look down at the fog sitting on the valley floor and thumb our noses.  Bad karma.  Here we sit - down in the fog.Laughing

    Honestly, we forget about the fog until we have to drive through the valley. It's been spitting snow tonight. Bet you don't miss that!

    I want to wish all of you a wonderful Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. I have been trying to get through the Holiday Season and want to get together in January to meet with everyone.....I think it would be great to have lunch and get to know each other since we all live so close.     DH is making noises about getting chains for the car and heading up to Sonora to see the snow!  I can remember some really beautiful mornings up there with dustings of snow.  He also wants to get our 2008 ornament in Sonora and run out to the Peppery for a beer and some poppers.  I could go for that!

    Terry I think it would be great fun to get to gether next month!  Let's figure something out!

    Im up in the foothills in Mariposa. Is it to late to come on this Tread(I think thats what its called) I posted on another one with sac as the location.It would be nice to talk to woman close to home.(central valley,or the foothills).....Janet

    Hi auroravtj/Janet, I live near Sonora. I also have a good friend who lives near Mariposa whose husband has been in treatment for prostate cancer. I'm thinking us foothill gals need to stick together! I;ll PM you and rumoret with my e-mail address. My wish for 2009 is a healthy new year for all of us.
