Good afternoon, the beach is busy today. Lisa I love the flowers so much...I would post mine but they would look sad in comparison.
I do have a question ~ I have what is called a pitcher plant. When I bring it in, do I need to cut the pitchers off? Anyone who can answer PLEASE DO.
My mother in law got it for me. I will take a picture later and post. If I have the time. I'm packing for a trip to Luray Va.....
Luray - Luray Caverns are the largest caverns in the eastern USA and a National Landmark. Some of the most spectacular creations were formed just one drip at at time, such as Giant's Hall, vast expansive chambers decorated by predominately golden columns, 10-stories tall. The gold colors come from iron and clay soils seeping from the ground along with the calcium carbonate "drips."
The Stalacpipe organ features normal keyboards
but the stalactites are the pipes.I have been to this cavern many times and a few others in Va. I am a nature type person so Virginia has it all. The mountains and the ocean. Can't beat it. And 4 seasons, just as you tire of one season there is another that takes it's place.
Sorry
I tend to ramble these days.
Everyone have a wonderful day at the beach.

Spar~ Remember I was worried about things happening in three's? Well Sunday my son's first cousin shot himself. He was 33 years old. He grew up with my oldest son who is the same age. Cory is 7 years behind them, he knew him but still wasn't that close.
Anyway, I just wanted to let you know. All the youth is just fading away.
So very sad.
Sorry to dampen the beach mood.
-
OMG!! Mary-Lou, that is just awful. You have had nothing but bad stuff in your life lately. Sending you big hugs!
When we were in VA this past summer, we went to Grand Caverns. They were gorgeous! VA is just beautiful.
I've been very busy lately, with not a whole lot of time to post. I hope everyone is well and enjoying the beach.
-
Mary Lous that is so sad, such heartbreak. My prayers will be with his family. How do parents cope with something like that. It is horrible. VA is one of the most beautiful states I have ever visited. Hope you have a wonderful time on your trip and all bad things have ended for years and years and years for you and your family. I to love all the seasons, I love the changes so much they each have their own beauty.
If I knew how to post songs, it would be the one that has spring, winter, summer, and fall, all you got to do is call and I'll be there
-
Spar - now I have that song in my head - You've Got a Friend (James Taylor). Fortunately the one in my head is in tune, the one I sing.... really bad.
Saint- have you recovered yet? Hope to hear your voice soon.
I am going to be at the Air Canada Centre for the Leafs Pink Night giving out ribbons..... We cant watch the game but there is a lounge where we can watch on tv.
I am at the Cerebral Palsy Conference which lasts the entire weekend. But it gives Johanna and I the time together that we need. She has CP. We are a wild pair once our mouths get flapping.
I am getting excited about my quilt. All the top squares are done. I think tonight I edge them.... then add the borders so by end of month it may be all one piece. I like most of the squares, but two are nose wrinkle. But I stuck it out and learned all the ways of making a quilt. I know the drudgery is coming up next.. .the actual quilting of the back, stuffing and the top together. From the looks of it, it takes forever to do. But I have time and I swore I'd learn something I could do if bedridden and I did.
My room cleaning has achieved some semblance of order.... will continue working at it.

Lisa~ Get so carried away sometimes. I love the pictures Julz. I long for my young care free days.
Here I am at 18 in the 70's PLEASE DON"T LAUGH.
This was in my churches social hall. It was a surprize wedding shower. I was fresh out of the shower, wet hair and no make up. Mom told me she needed something from the church and needed a ride. I grabbed some jeans , a tee and out the door. Look at those curtains. Yes, the good old 70's -
Julz, will you post a song from me to lv2cmp it is by tom t hall called how to talk to a little baby goat? Thank you for the pictures and the songs. Love James Taylor. He is great.
Mary Lou, yep the good old 70's I was 18 in 1970 also.

Hey Beachie Kids!
Lisa!! I would have LOVED to meet you! Guess it is just as well I didn't know ahead of time cuz my friends had the weekend scheduled down to the minute with loads of activities & a few special surprises! In La Jolla we went to the "expert only" surfing beach first---there is a walkway built on the ocean side & on the shore of the bay created by it were tons of seals------I MAY get pix soon---still waiting! We took the kids down to the other beach a couple of miles away (lifeguard gave us directions---ppl were SO nice!) The water temp was 65 degrees---a bit chillier than the Atlantic I grew up on, but I did wade in thigh deep.......
Mary-lou---so sorry for the sadness visited on you & your son. I know how you feel & wish no one ever had to experience such things!
Hope everyone is relaxed & calmed by the rhythm of the waves......sweet dreams. Be well & stay strong (or vice versa!) HUGS
-
Mary Lou, words are so very inadequate.... my heart goes out to you and your entire family. Life on this planet can be so very challenging, beyond our ability to grasp at times.
Do all that you can to take good care of yourself in the midst of helping everyone grapple.
Beachie friends,
it is an enormous support to me, to come in tonight and see all of the many posts -- the diversity of stories, images and energies being expended. a HUGE support.
i'm nearly thru a huge paperwork pickle that i got myself into...... let's hear it for over-night delivery!!
hugs A to Z
dreamer: you're inspiring me to de-clutter (could I hire you?)
oh, and having my own cabana-boy dipped in chocolate has made this day possible
(or did i imagine that????????) LOL
strength and courage, strength and courage
